nah that was moffit in the vk i think they were saying. My friend has a Bathurst box set from the 50's - 90's great stuff on it. the R32's dominated w00t.

on the contrary I think the 2000GT closely relates to the 240z and is not off topic. Thanks for the pics of a truely amazing automobile.

yes and the flutes in the inspection lid is a good idea for the Z not to mention "period correct" -

I've spoken to you before about them and think what you've done looks nice I'm still not 100% on either of them. I am thinking I'll just put the stock hood back on and if I want ventilation I'll just graft them into some inspection lids. I await a few photos of your hood when you get time to see if it's worthwhile for me to venture down the same path. If you look in my gallery you can see i painted them black but I still can't get over the floor heater style.

Sounds to me you need to readjust your carbs. if anything when changes things like this over often they will need readjusting.

do you have velocity stacks under those filters? if not I'd recommend going to the stock air box again. -
that's cool indeed very 70's love the stripes something different and the bre spoiler looks trick gotta get me one of those -
really nice car but this is just my opinion i think it would look even nicer with early 240z style bumpers on front and back. If you like the front then just the back would be 50% better. -
That's more like it pretty similar to the motor I'll be building.

Ok guys thanks for the advice yes I have an IR alternator but it will need a rebuild. So far i havent had a repeat of the problem i think it only happens after its been in traffic for a long time with stuff like the lights, stereo and heater on at the same time. I haven't confirmed this yet though. I haven't checked the alternator belt but it's a good idea last time I had a problem like this it was the belt getting too loose and causing the car to do all sorts of stuff.
