Towing
You could back up onto it like mentioned above. If you don't have one already, I'd invest in a rock guard on the back of your motorhome. I don't think you would want to take the chance of a rock flying out and hitting your Z :hurt:

1978 Glovebox
I don't think thats caused by his glove box :classic: I'd hate to see what TomoHawk's Owners Manual looks like
-
Hello. New to Z's and this forum =]
Looks nice in the photos. I agree, that ugly "Rice Rocket" exhaust has to go
-

240Z with 41k Original Miles up for Sale
The non factory items that I cought are the rims, exhaust, and center console. Beautiful 240Z though Would be even cooler if she had the manual transmission

The next 240Z
Adam, It sure is nice to hear from another Z nut that feels the same thrill about the Classic Z as I do Couldn't have said it better myself

Anyone else have this happen to them? LOL
You can't at least keep the lil Z?? :D She won't take up much space Well whatever you do I wish you the best man. Just remember us here when you get bored with that GTO.

Anyone else have this happen to them? LOL
Stephen What happened that caused your loss of interest??? I've always been such a car nut my entire life. As a kid there was a neighbor down the street that had a huge back garage and was always tinkering with his hot rods and he always let me and my brother hang out back there with him and would let us help him. He was like my teacher and sometimes he would take us to the track and we would watch him race. I was hooked into cars the rest of my life and I'll never loose that love. That kind of enjoyment just sticks with you the rest of your life for me anyways and I have such a strong love for the Z cars (1st gens especially ) I mean how can anyone who likes cars not love the cool timeless design of the first gen Z car. Such an awesome looking car and that awesome feeling of being in the drivers seat looking over that sculpted hood shifting through the gears as the L series inline 6 engine L24,L26, or L28 let out that awesome growl. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of nice cars out there today but No car today can even match the feeling and the thrill my 280Z gives me. thats just my opinion I agree with Doug's statement about living up north. Trust me Stephen if you were required to set your Datsun Hobby aside like I have to do due to this photo below I took here at my house for about 5 to 6 months out of the year, Once spring comes you would be begging to hop in any of your datsuns and hit the beautiful open road. California is spoiling you man

Anyone else have this happen to them? LOL
Perfect warm sunny day today here in MN so I took my Z for another fun drive. I planned on only cruising the roads around here locally but I was having so much fun driving her I thought "hhmm what the hell just a little further". I ended up going way up into wisconsin and back I also noticed when i got back that my front bumper bar was slightly lower on the passenger side so I thought "Wow gotta fix that A.S.A.P." adjusted that today as well Found that the 2 14mm nuts which secures the bumper bar to the bumper shock on the right side were loose  so I got it set level again and retorqued down the nuts good. Isn't it funny how you know you got other things that need to get done so you plan on just a short cruise around town in your Z and then the Z bug bites you as your driving and you end up spending the whole day with it Gotta love the Z Car Hobby

Tranny Leak
No need to appologize hope that solves it for you. I don't know what to tell you since you say you have replaced everything else.
-
Tranny Leak
about a year ago I noticed a small little spot of gear oil under my transmission as well. I looked underneith and found that it was coming from the reverse lamp switch. After I Replaced it, No more leak So replace that since you say yours is leaking and see if that takes care of it. It did for me luckily. It fooled me too because it looked like it was leaking further back but what it was doing was running down from the switch, then it would run along the bottom of the tranny towards the rear then drop on the floor. Leaks can fool you like that sometimes Good luck and I hope that takes care of it for you too. (Edit)-Never mind I noticed your response about the reverse switch was dated 12-23-2008, 05:32 PM so you probably already replaced that. I need to start paying attention to the dates since more people around here now are bringing back old threads lately

Car back from Maaco....Pictures attached
I have no clue but everytime I get critical, I end up pissing someone off so I'm keeping my opinions to myself

Mice have been living in my Z, It stinks!
I'm a mechanic at an RV dealer. Working on customers rigs, I could tell some horror stories on the things I've seen those little bastards do  Sometimes you can get by using fabreeze but if it's majorly bad plan on pulling things out and doing a good thorough shampoo job. check your engine bay too if you haven't already. They love to nest in there and drag in debris, chew through wiring, hoses ect. Those things have created such nightmares for me at work but hey, it's part of job security . I don't know about bleach on the outside. I can't believe that would be good for the paint job. I'd power wash the undercarriage and just wash the rest of the car with a good car wash soap and give it a good wax job afterwords. Hopefully this helps you. It's hard for me to say because it all depends how bad they trashed it.

new commercial, classic Z
Can't say I personally agree with waiting 12,000 Miles between Oil Changes even with synthetic but if it's been working for him, then more power to him.
-
People are actually bidding on this crap?
If people are dumb enough to buy that crap then I have no sympathy for them. :stupid:

axle question
Is the drive shaft new or just the U joints? Drive shaft could be out of balance.

new commercial, classic Z
I've seen the advertisement on TV but didn't know about the owner working for the company. Interesting. Here is the commercial for those that haven't seen it. Pay attention though If you blink you may miss it. Click on the one with the #06 van http://www.grid1.tv/
