  1. I used both of the vintage relays in my harness. I did not do an amp or volt test on the Vintage blower motor to see if I could wire from the accessory relay in my car. I made a relay and power box for the car to house them all in the engine compartment. Maybe the pictures will give you some ideas Also I used a 280z thermostat housing for the temp. sensors.
  2. I used J.D. Martinez, flawless zinc plating. He is in Escondido California. He will do shipping. I have a thread with posted pictures. He did all the prep work for me
  3. First no I did not do this. Found it when I removed all the gunk off of carbs. I posted this to show what butcher mechanics have done to this car and felt you guys might get a kick out of it. I have had to replace a lot of items just from this kind of work. Vice grips on hydraulic fitting instead of using line wrenches etc. Rebuild harness from aftermarket radios, boom box, and just butcher work on all the harnesses. I never use those yellow, red and blue insulated terminals just junk. The shaft was not stuck in the body. I think they felt they could expand the shaft to get rid of vacuum leak. Have a very good friend that was a fabricator for electromotive during the gtp era, worked for Dan Gurney until the indy car program ended and for Patrick Racing. He is going to install bearings for me much like ztherapy does I"m in luck i do have another set of carbs I purchased to just get the fuel inlets. I do have some experience working on cars having raced formula v,formula fords and a Datsun 2000 Roadster. And by friend that let into the above shops and see how things are done correct.
  4. Found a new method for fixing vacuum leak at throttle shafts. Just finished soda blasting and cleaning carbs when I found this.

  9. It appears we can not get these bearings from Clevite or KIng . Called KIng and was told maybe in May. Clevite said I can order but would not give me a date. Zmotorsports does not have a date either. Z car depot can not get Clevite. So are there any other brands that are good? The engine had been built by Slover porting in Sun Valley Ca. L28 valves with steel seats, l28 crankshaft and punched out to 85mm

  13. I installed a remote dimmer made by pilotlights ( www.PilotLights.net) This allowed me to install dimmer switch in the stock location. I had to thread and put extension on switch shaft.
  14. I used the leds for dash lights from Datsun Garage . They are flat so you can leave the green filter in place. Had no problem with polarity

I have had 3 pathfinders over the years loved them. Went to buy a new one until I found out they have a CVT transmission. So I brought a Jeep Wrangler. Nice Z car
  16. Maybe this will help. My car is a 71 z. Lower left green wire is for turn signal which is R/W in the harness Lower right wire is reverse which is R/B in the harness Upper green is tail light all blacks are ground. Which is G/W in the harness. The other light is brake. However I installed another 1157 socket So I would have both of the top lights tail lights and brake lights. I also installed led bulbs.
  17. Arne has a good thread on installing JDM lights.
