my 2 cents... i went with black undercoating because i am more worried about keeping the metal from rusting. if you can keep the water out.........

distributor cap fitment
Zed, you can get resistor or non-resistor cut-to-fit wires at summit. these are what i got since i have a radio https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tay-73055/overview/ and the crimper, which works very well https://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-3503

thanks. basically, i made an angle with a hole in the short side that the valve cover bolt goes through, then i zip tied the separators to the angle. the angles are maybe 3" on the long side, 1" on the short side and 3/4" wide

new plug wires (3rd set ) i like the routing better than over the valve cover. i made some brackets out of aluminum and used zip ties to hold the wires in place

i figured out the problem there. when i pulled the distributor apart to grease the centrifugal advance, i installed the part the rotor sits on 180* off. very easy to do

i have a buddy that drag races. he has been spot-on all these years so i tend to listen to his advice. he told me that the plugs would work fine with a msd type ignition system.
