  1. Cmon....you know you want another one!
  2. Just a heads up for anyone that's interested. If it were closer to me I'd most definitely be bidding. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2030&item=2492954218&rd=1

  4. At least she has good taste in cars.
  5. I've never seen another either. ....but, speaking of old trucks....I saw another lovely old truck the other day. Similar sort of age/style to this but a fair bit bigger and was painted the same colour. Was pretty cool to see such a thing out and about, still in use. Looked like it was in imaculate condition.

Interesting. I've heard of a few similar things now that have had a really wierd fix. Still at the mechanics. He's pretty busy so hasn't had time to get to it. Can't wait for it to be up and running again. I'm having withdrawal symptoms.
  7. datberger: MickieB was talking about a different car.

Nah, they're all fine. It's over at my mechanics now. He's pretty busy so might be a while till he gets to it. Hopefully he can figure it out.

I'm with alfadog. Bolt on looks heaps better IMO.

    Most useless pictures ever.
  11. The reason you need to vent a non-sealed battery is hydrogen is produced in the process of charging the battery. Particularly in the case your alternators regulartor fails and the battery is over charged, quite large amounts of hydrogen will be produced. I've heard some rather interesting stories of peoples boots blowing up. It's not worth the risk of not venting it IMO.
  12. 260Zed: How do you like the monroe shocks? Do they match well with the kings lowered springs? How do they go damping small high frequency bumps and also how are they when you hit a big bump in the road? I have the same spring, but KYB shocks. Can't say I'm particularly happy with the KYBs, but can't afford to go to something like the Konis.
  13. Agreed, the wheels are quite nice on the 101011110Z.
  14. Zedrally: Locally the only thing to really race it in is the bitumen sprints. All the classes are simply based on engine displacement, so having non original motors etc wont matter.
  15. Hehe...I didn't realise that right click was supposed to be completely disabled. Still workin a charm under Safari on OSX.
  16. Gav: After hearing your engine plans....and the sort of power you can get out of the stroker, you have me thinking about it! Damn it!
  17. Mick: Would cost you more than the car to get it here. Keep an eye out as the 2+2s do come up from time to time around here. Next time I see you I'll give you matts number as he might just have some of the spares you need. Might also pay to get in touch with someone like Phil Mason (tough rally/sprint 240Z) as he'd be sure to have a few spare cars.....or at least know of some. I have a mate that helped build his engine, so can get in touch that way if you want. What ended up happening with Simon's 2+2? Oh...there was one over around Mt Louisa a few months ago sitting there rotting away. Doubt it'd still be there but I'll have a look some time for ya.
  18. The most important points I've picked up from all of this so far (and what I believe): •If they want the picture....they will get it. The current system is very easy to get around. Seem rather pointless to me as 90% of people will get around it. •If you're putting your images up on a public site, expect people will download them. This just seems stupidly obvious to me. I just don't see how any body could actually expect to put images on the web, yet not have people download them? You can use the flashiest software to try and stop them downloading the image, but if they have it on their screen.....then they as good as have your file.

  20. That's an excellent idea Gary! It'd make life a hell of a lot easier for many of us. Unfortunatly I don't have the equipment or experience to make such a thing myself. Although, if none of the other aussie members are able to I'll, see if I can line up someone around here to do it. Edit: My pins (rather stuborn ones at that) were removed recently (with about 20 ton on the hydraulic press and 5 min of heating) so I don't have a use for the tool atm, but I'd still be happy to go ahead with this if no one else does.

Welcome. I bought mine at around the 5k mark.....I recommend you don't! Look at spending 10k+ for a good one.
