  5. I will definately be there with my 260Z. Thanks for the link Ron. -Ben
  6. Is that Kyteler's car? Or am I missing something? BTW, it's a cool shirt. -Ben
  7. Thanks Mike for posting the pics. I really had a great time at this show. I took around 160 photos and I will be posting many of them, but I have finals and projects due next week. Once that is over I am going to upload them. I apologize for the delay. You got some really nice pictures Mike. I wish we could have talked more. Take care, Ben

  9. Hello everyone, I am going to be driving down to the LA area with my Z tomorrow (saturday) at 5am. I am really looking forward to the drive with my Z, the show, and meeting all of you. -Ben:)
  10. That Kobe Seiko wheel that you posted a picture of Chris, I believe is of an optional wheel for the "street version" Z432. However, I do believe that those were the narrower wheels used on the Works rally cars. Your picture is of the 14 by 6j and it was magnesium. The standard Z432 wheels were 14 by 5.5j, and they looked slightly different than the picture of the one that you posted. (Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that picture is from an old Yahoo Japan auction. I wonder how much they sold for?) I don't think you would commonly see aluminum Kobe Seiko reproductions on Z's in Japan, but I could be wrong as I have never been there. The aluminum wheels that you are referring to were reproduced by a company I am sure Alan knows of. I am not sure if Kobe Seiko ever made a wheel for the Z's in aluminum. When I was talking with Matsuo-san, he told me that Kobe Seiko was an outside company that made wheels for Nissan. I wonder what other manufactures' Kobe Seiko made wheels for? Off the top of my head, I know of quite a few wheels that Kobe Seiko made for the S30 both on the street and track. Someday I would love to get a set for my car, but I am sure that a nice set of 14 by 7j works wheels would be worth more than my car. "I got a 260z for my Kobe Seiko wheels!" I will keep dreaming. Hahaha. Take care everyone. I really would love to learn more about these wheels and Kobe Seiko's history with Nissan and other companies(?). Maybe we should start a new thread. Please correct any information that I have posted as I am not an authority on this. -Ben
  11. This really is sad news. I agree with what Ron said about contacting these living legends. I remember a picture taken not too long ago of Shekhar with Guus's car. He looked very happy. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
  12. I have Kumho 195 X 70. They feel sporty and they are very comfortable too. I highly recommend them as they are affordable too. Plus, the 70 series tires have that vintage look that looks so good on Z's. I used to have 185 X 65 on my car and I did not like the look of the short sidewall. Now I have 195 X 70 and my car looks far out 70's style. Take care, Ben
  13. I just registered for the show. This will be my second time I attend this show. This has been stirring for a while, but I did not want to mention it until I had paid for the show. I will be driving down to San Diego on Thurs (Pharmacy convention for my gf), and driving up to LA on Saturday. I am really looking forward to this show. I hope to meet all of you there. See you all there, Ben
  14. They are nice wheels, but they are not really that desirable of a size and offset for a Z. The 14 by 6.5 is okay, but +19mm. That is too positive for my taste on that narrow of a wheel. I don't think it is a good deal for those wheels because you will be sinking at least 400USD in them to restore them, then you have to get lugnuts. This is just my opinion, but the one piece Watanabe wheels look better on Z's. These would be better for a 240sx or AE86. -Ben p.s. Keep looking Pete. You will find a nicer set.
