Rally Clock for sale on Ebay
http://www.classicZcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3772&password=&sort=7&thecat=500 Here is a pic of the back. The reason why it does not have a oscillating box is because it does not have the stopwatch function. This clock is considered the calender clock and it was for Fairlady Z's from 74-78. I believe that it was also a datsun competition option found in a catalog of the day. take care, Ben

HLS30-00026front
That is a great car Chris. I saw your car in the winter 2003 sport Z magazine. It's pretty impressive on how prestine and original your car is considering the mileage. my car has half the mileage your does and its condition is nowhere near yours. Were the tires that you have on your mag the ones fitted on the steel wheels? Take care, Ben

What model Z do or did you own?
I was thinking about a 240z being a fairlady Z. I dont know, since many of them dont have 2.4 litres they would technically be a 200z. I will drop this subject. Forget that I even brought it up. Sorry mike, I do not want to start anything. Regards, Ben

Rally Clock for sale on Ebay
These clocks show up every now and then on ebay. I bought mine early last year. Since mine was for a 1974-78 I did not need the oscillating box. Hey victor, you should have ebay email you everytime a rally clock comes online. Just put it the keywords datsun rally clock in titles and descriptions, and for 90 days you will get a notification everytime an auction contains those words at no charge. I do that for watanabe wheels and it works out great, except no wheels:cry: . Anyways, good luck on finding the box. You have been looking for it since I joined this forum. That is a while. Take care, Ben

I am glad you got her back. I am sure she is better than new eh? It is looking good. Is the engine bay as clean as the outside?

What model Z do or did you own?
I own a 260z, but I would like to own a Fairlady Z some day. Why is it not an option on the pole? I know of three people that could vote, but there is probably more owners with Fairlady Z's that I do not know about on this forum or visiting it. I am not trying to cause havoc, I just thought that the pole was a little biased. Take care, Ben

432-R
I read somewhere that about 420 Z432's were made. They were not even sure, but they said it was a much more realistic number.

Matchbox Speed Kings 1
This is a nice one. I wouldn't mind getting a hold of one of these sometime myself. I have mostly tomica's, but I have one matchbox 260z 2 by 2.

Fairlady Z Parts
Hello MDyer, I am reading this very late in the game, but I was that one that posted the pic of the beautiful 240z that I called a 240z poser(I changed the pic name). I was not trying to be negative, but I can see how one would think that. So if I came off wrong I am sorry. I don't want anyone to feel bad. Anyways, my goal is to do exactly what you are doing to your car. Making it a kick a$$ Z that has Fairlady Z touches!!! Let the botching begin. Maybe we can talk some time about Fairlady Z's and what we are planning to do to our cars. Just pm me. Your car is looking great too. take care, Ben

we are grilling now
The grill for the early 260 and the 70-72 240 are totally different. The 260 has opening for the bumper shocks while the 240's do not. The grill may fit, but it will not be correct. I also believe that there is different mounting points for the two, but I am not sure. By the way, what color is your early 260z grill? Thanks. Good luck, Ben

Hello zrush, why don't you post some pics of your 240. Everyone would love to see them. Take care. I want to get 195/70 for my car. That size looks so Z 70ish. Good luck, Ben

MiniZ
Just sand the back of the rear wheels in the back to match the width of the front. The tires will fit and they will clear the fender wells, yet still have the dish look and appear to be wider in the rear. I did this with this kit so I know it works. It is looking good. Make sure you paint the wheels dark gun metal grey;). -Ben

Original wheels, hubcaps, and tires
Hello everyone, I found this and I was thinking that the tires are not orignal due to size. Isn't the original bridgestones 175/75R14? Any information on this would be great. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34209&item=2460270017 Take care, Ben

Hello Rob, I have a bumper for an early 260z. I am not at my home now, but I will take a look at it on Friday and tell you the exact condition and take pics if needed. It is not perfect, but it is presentable. Regards, Ben

Under The Bridge
Your car has a great stance. Is your car lowered and what size tires are those? I would like my car to have this stance with some 70 side walls. Thanks, Ben

Z432 style exhaust with header for l series...
Zmefly, I looked at the pictures you have on car domain and your old 240 looked beautiful. I love the yellow with the polished mags. Very clean looking.:classic: I have not seen many yellow z's. It looks great in that color. Your 280zxt looks mean. I bet it is an eater on the street. Hehehehe. It looks like you take care well. Do you have an early Z as well, or did I miss it? Regards, Ben

Z432 style exhaust with header for l series...
I would like the car too, but I want to make mine just the way I like until I think about buying another Z. Someday I would like to get a Z432. One can dream. I would be happy with my car having Fairlady Z mods. All I have right now is the Fairlady Z clock. :stupid: Later this year I hope to get wheels. Hehehehe. Until then, I have my avator. Take care, Ben

Z432 style exhaust with header for l series...
Here is an awesome looking exhaust and header for an L-series. It looks like the Z432 exhaust. If this Trust exhaust system is as good as it looks, someday I will have to get this for my car:classic: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33630&item=2459181642 P.S. If anyone gets this for their car I envy you. enjoy, Ben

NEW Wooden Steering Wheel
:stupid: :stupid: :stupid: I should have looked it up before I opened my mouth(typing fingers). Mr. Camouflage and datto_240z, you guys are right. The original 240z steering wheel is plastic with a simulated wood grain layer on top. Sorry for the mix up. -Ben

Unusual set of triple...
Yeah, those look great. What is your offset on the front? I would really like to put 14 by7j with a zero offset and some 195/70 tires on my car. I will stay clear of your engine bay.:stupid: -Ben

US spec 260z
From the album: 1974 260z (RLS30)
Here is a photo of my car at Ohlone college in Fremont just around the corner from where I live. This is after she got washed. I really love this photo. I saw someone take this angle, so I had to copy. enjoy.
