  1. possibly all of the above, i might have some bad electics in the fuel pump as its only starting playing up during all this constant rain weve been having in sydney this week
  2. I just had the same problem on the way to work this morning, the car starting running like a bag of s#$t then toatally stopped. i got out, quickly checked over the fuel system, everything looked ok, it started up fine and i drove it the rest of the way. what the hell is going on???
  3. not sure but i expect the same ratio as th US auto's
  4. then your car would already be sitting lower than usual with the original springs. if you get springs that are to lower the car an inch from stock ride hide you might find the car could actually go even higher, because your springs have sagged so much. going to stiffer springs and shocks, you should be able to keep your current ride hight and stop the rubbing becouse your setup wont compress as much over bumps as the saggy old setup
  5. thats strange, i used to run 215 65 14's and they didnt rub. where are they rubbing? on the guards or inside the wheel well? if its on the guards, then you almost definatly have the wrong offset wheels, as you can get a 225 under there with no dramas. if its rubbing inside the wheel well then just how low is your car?
  6. 5 speed 240z in Australia and a assume UK aswell had 3.9 R180's.FYI. i have one under my house.
  7. well i figure ill have this exhaust for a while so illl do it right the first time and not have to worry about the thing for years.
  8. stainless steel pipes and mufflers dont rust.
  9. yep , stainless from the extractors back, they use their own brand mufflers, i dont know how they can quiet a car right down while keeping the flow of a regular straight through system. ill give it a try, we'll see what happens.
  10. just got a quote from lambros hi-tech mufflers for a full 2.5 inche mandrel system with two hi-tech brand mufflers 880 AUS. they reckon they can keep it quiet while maintaining the flow of my current straight through system. what do you think?
  11. so having a straight through offset muffler under the tailshaft instead of a resonator will quiet things down?
  12. its an off set straight through, redback i think. would there be much difference in flow with a proper baffled muffler?
  13. yeah its a good idea, it will give you more power up high as long as your intake setup can supply the air and fuel needed with the bigger capacity. though if your going to that sort of trouble you should use an l28 engine and bore that out.
  14. i might take you up on that, im going on holidays to california in august.
  15. hmmm, might be a bit expensive to import small amounts from the states?
  16. gday guys, the exhaust on my car is a 2 1/2 inch steam bent with one resonator and a straight through glasspack muffler. needless to say its louder than a jet plane im looking for a system that has a similar flow capacity but is ALOT quieter, any suggestions?
  17. yeah our beers good, but i gotta hand it to the yanks, samuel addams beats anything weve got!
  18. do a search for clutch fans on the forums, im pretty sure weve had a discussion about this before
  19. ROFL challenge accepted!
  20. no worries, i just checked the web site and its next wednesday anyway! that was lucky i would of rocked up there and the place would of been empty.
  21. and you'll need 240 rods and flat top pistons to get some sort of usable compression.
  22. the L26 is stroked. putting in L28 pistons gives 2569cc ( of the L engine calculator)
  23. the carpet on the floor right behind the seats should extend to underneath the seats. its shaped to the floor of the car. it might be hard to find new carpet mats to fit.
  24. you should have sound deadening material and carpeting under there, it starts from behind the seat, is there any carpet behind the seat?
