  1. I have stashed these for over five years. I really don't want to sell them, but I made an impulse buy recently...the ZStory JDM twin tip muffler. I'm still kind of on the fence. I really don't know what to ask for them; all I do is throw out numbers and no one seems to be interested in these relics. Anyway, here they are: [ $75 EACH ] Two original boxes, two near mint N.O.S. tips. IIRC the inlet size is 2.5" or 2.25" One N.O.S. tip, shows a little more shelf ware, 2" inlet

  3. I have $50 shipped if you still have them. Just PM your paypal info. Thanks
  4. Those do look amazing! If you don't mind, what did the upholstery guy charge you? And tell me more about the vinyl seat covers...I'm interested.
  5. I bought a set from Black Dragon a couple years ago, same issues. They gave me a refund with no issues. The auto parts store brand had the same problem. I wasn't about to grind off a steel peg that is supposed to be there. I bought some from Nissan ($$) and realized why OEM parts are so respected...they fit like a glove.
  6. Well, knee jerk reaction. She's on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/391488767409?redirect=mobile
  7. If you go on the eBay website the fee for the sale of the car is $125 if I'm not mistaken. You also have to pay for the ad, and lose a 3% paypal fee on your deposit. There are some ins and outs but that's a rundown. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  8. Update. I found a brand new Series 1 choke cable set in the hatch. I decided to sell it to raise more money toward the car. I've been cleaning up the inside and in many ways it is nicer than my 73. I wish the original radio was in it though. I also need to decide if I want to run the steelies or the Libre wheels. 10. Thanks for the tip. Bolts dropped into those leaves have become a right of passage.
  11. Just some small updates: 1. Readjusted hood hinges so she latches now. 2. Spent some time degreasing the engine. 3. Installed oem-spec cast mechanical fuel pump. 4. Next: Rotor, distributor cap, NGK plugs and wires, coil 5. Many parts sourced: hatch emblems, taillight lens, cigarette lighter. 6. Next I'm going to clean/detail interior and exterior. Then drive her to an exhaust shop.
  12. As far as I know, the hatch is original. The broken Datsun emblem is in the center console and the guy said his brother stole the 240z emblem for his 240sx. Luckily I found a NOS 240z emblem on eBay for $20. Still on the hunt for a decent Datsun hatch emblem.
  13. I probably won't have the time to touch her during the next month. I'm considering the driver's dog leg replacement towards the end of the summer. I washed her and threw some AR Libre wheels on (with some tiny tires) for now.
  14. Hello Everyone, I've been on the forum for a few years; I'm finishing the rear suspension on my '73 right now. I've been buying/selling Datsun parts and cars here and there to supplement my income and to fund the '73. ---------------------- I cannot believe I found this 71. I am still in a bit of shock. I live modestly and can only afford drivers. Now I am debating which car to keep. The 3rd owner '73 that I've dumped thousands of dollars into, or start fresh with an original '71 in my favorite color? I'm starting this thread to document my progress, and mainly, for everyone's expertise. My plan is to get this Lucky Lady as close to original as possible this year, then decide which one to sell. I'm at the airport so I'll give more details and photos tomorrow. BLUF: 1971 240z, 109k miles, 3rd owner. Professionally reupholstered leather seats. Unmolested. Series 1 crossover vertical defroster lines, gas lid, lighter, etc. Original paint? If so, touched up in spots. Rust/bondo at driver's dog leg. Floors, rails, rockers solid, quarter sized hole in driver's floor. Original owner lives locally and I have his contact info. I'm hoping to get in touch with him, pick him up in the Z, and sit down over a beer to hear some history.
  15. Car has just been listed on eBay in a no reserve auction. Bidding starts at $0.99. http://www.ebay.com/itm/391436096825?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  16. Make offers. Not finding the time to work on her.
  17. Do the two you have look exactly the same? I'd like to see both of them. Thanks
  18. Bump, still sitting as seen in the photos. No time to work on her. After installing a Nikki fuel pump, I am going to focus on an electrical tune-up before starting her. Next on the list: New points, condensor, coil, NGK wires and plugs.
  19. Payment sent for carb. My plan is to dyno round tops, Holley 390, and Mikuni 44s just for fun.
  20. Yes I do. I just put rebuilt SUs on her to get her running. Now there's 15 inches of snow on the ground. Hopefully it melts soon and I can get back to tinkering on her. Feel free to PM me.
  21. Price: $2750 FIRM for car with all extra sheet metal Location: Colorado Springs CO I bought this only 3 months ago, to flip. I don't have the time right now. My '73 needs the love. I have not touched this car other than take it off the trailer, take some photos, and throw a car cover on it. -Clean open CO title -Originally orange, silver done decades ago -Original engine, block and head painted red, looks rebuilt. (Story is the old man just stopped driving it one day outside of Denver) -Car was last on the road in the 90s, with most engine bay accessories replaced around that time (alternator, starter, fuel/vacuum lines, etc.). Most of the engine bay grime is simply dust/sand. I can post photos of how easily the carbs cleaned up with just wd-40 and a rag. -Seats are cloth, just got a good condition center console for it to be included -Rust: needs rockers, maybe doglegs depending on prettiness desired. Inner front fenders need 3x10 patch. Battery tray has no holes, rear hatch area has dime sized hole. Rear wheel arches have bondo (only area found). Passenger floor could use patch. Have brand new floor pans with frame rails, new rear quarter skin, used inner outer rockers, NOS driver fender, used passenger fender available. -Car will be sold on iron cross wheels with decent road worthy Douglas 205/70/14s. -Good condition original front bumper is in hatch. If you have a question, ask. I don't have time for tire kickers, I posted a price but have lots and lots of parts that can be negotiated. $2750 would include car and sheet metal only. Many other parts like E31 head, two sets of triple Webers, intakes, surge tanks, 4 barrel conversion, SU setups, available. Price will be $5000 next summer, running like a wild cat, flared, with 3 piece rear wing. I have not posted on Craigslist or eBay yet. Price: $2750 FIRM for car with all extra sheet metal Location: Colorado Springs CO Call, text, or post / PM here 762-215-3351
  22. Sounds like you got a deal! Just curious, did he ship them or were you local? I get weary of calling older gentlemen's ads to ask them to ship me things across the country. Pictures would be awesome as well!
  23. Any photos? Is anyone willing to deliver them to Augusta, GA or ship to Colorado for a finder's fee? Thanks
