1972 Float Adjustment ...
Something I've learned with these cars is always use Nissan thermostats if you can. Those Stanton premiums are okay but not as good IMHO.

Okay, instead of an elephant's ear graft I guess an elephant's trunk sewed on would be close to OE. It'd be a lot smaller but it's all in how they use them. Hardy har har!

Possibly, if you have nut allergies like my school teacher friends.

I do things right the first time so nothing needs to be tested, girls either. Even though some girls seem to like repeated "test".

I have to be real careful, sometimes all that heat do a spontaneous combustion kinda deal. My peta just blows slap up! They say there's no more skin grafts left? I bet my dog would sacrifice one of his ears for me though. Might need a an elephants ear?

You need to be careful when exposing your hose unless it's to more hose.

He's pushing that motor, beating the hell out of it from the last few post. When I have something that's nothing but problems I baby it or get rid of it (girls).

Did you remove the fur from your engine on last rebuild?

You can buy a tube of assembly lube for the cam lobes. You'll end up using it a lot more than you think. I think mine is a moly type made by CRC?

Riding low in the rear huh? 227 gallons is pretty heavy.

Weber selection and initial jet tuning
I'm almost positive my machinist used seats from a Dodge hemi engine for the exhaust valves on my Z. He had a bunch of those on hand. Just an FYI...

Which takes us full circle back to the California Datsun motor, known to be problematic from the reviews of buyers. Not only is it from California Datsun but a California Datsun "high performance motor". Would that qualify as an oxymoron?

'75 280z - Head temp sensor question
- Paint Stripper Beware
I have 9 toes thanks to a 3 wheeler. They won't turn with the front tire off the ground. Hard acceleration out of a gas station straight into a street sign.- '75 280z - Head temp sensor question
Try and sell it then get a 280 head. Easiest path in my opinion. Like Zed said get a p79 and have it cut then put '75 to '78 valves in there. Here you go, http://datsunzgarage.com/p79/- 280z air filter housing snorkle
I got rid of mine and used the screen wire to keep Alvin and the Chipmunks from storing their nuts in my air box. Cute little things until you find that then dead little things. Chip-mignon, the other white meat.- '75 280z - Head temp sensor question
Looking at that cam he'd be easily dissuaded.- Always scratching the paint when removing orange air filter
Or paint the bay orange. Come on man, you're smarter than this!- Paint Stripper Beware
The way that reads if I go to Lowes and buy a gallon of muratic acid and drink it it'll kill me. Well duh, stupid is as stupid as stupid does. Please read the warnings if you have no expirence with a product.- 1972 Float Adjustment ...
How about loosening the screws on the choke cables so they are free and drive it? Would that be a good idea or digging a deeper hole? I don't think his chokes are right. Mine will crank with no choke, his should too, takes a few more seconds though. - Paint Stripper Beware
