To me it seemed as if they walked by the coolest cars there to show you cars that weren't very interesting. I loved the BRE styled 240z, and the barely legal lotus.

How much of the work will you be able to do yourself? A cheap paint job is one of the most time consuming things to fix properly. If you can do most of the work to it, I would jump on it. If you're not confident in doing your own body work, think about what kind of budget you would like to spend. Good luck! Chase

Pulled the steering wheel off and got it all painted up. Now I just have to stain the "wood."

Does your car idle right when the brakes are not pressed? I would try adjusting the pedal like you said since the booster was not adjusted for your car from CarDone. Chase

The American Top Gear would be way better if the got rid of Adam Ferrara, and replaced him with Adam Corrolla. Ferrara is a complete loser who has no idea about anything car related. For those guys (like me) who watched the UK Top Gear and think it's one of the best car shows on right now, YouTube the UK top gear episode 1. It's not all that great of a show at the start. If we give our American car shows time, they might surprise us.

I don't understand why the NBA guy is on there either, he can't fit in anything decent and doesn't know much about cars. The wall street guy is a bit of a joke as well. The show is getting better though, it's already 100x better than the American Top Gear. I think Adam's comments are pretty funny, his dry humor is always amusing!

I have this problem as well, I've been looking for alternative resources that could be used to replicate the rubber strips from other cars. Chase

There was quite a big attendance at a Z car show by my house, I will have to get the word out to them and see how many will be able to join us. Chase

Awesome I will have to check in to Autozone this week and see what they've got. I don't think there are Advanced Auto Parts around here unfortunately, they have a "cheaper" brake booster there which is something I need too. Autozone has a similar booster but they haven't been the best for having 240z parts available. Chase

Thanks Jim, I enjoyed talking to you today about your beautiful car. It's hard to find people these days who have a great amount of knowledge for these cars like you've got. Your car was an inspiration for my dad and I to get our car out on the road as soon as possible. I'm thinking it will be road-worthy in time for the next C&C. I've searched around here, but have not found a good answer. I'm looking for a strut for the hatch on the 240z, is there any other struts out there that I could find like at a junkyard that would work with little modification? I thought we could use this thread to make a list of alternative resources that offer the parts we need for half the cost of repros. So far I have found that: -Kia Sportage (9?-00) door seals are a perfect match for the 240z door seals. -Acura Integra (93-00) hatch seals will work for the 240z hatch. Chase

He is a big fan of tearing up new cars on that show, they go through tires faster than I can breathe.

Knowing Jeremy's (British guy) taste in foreign cars, he likes to make cars like the 350z look bad sometimes. That could explain why he got owned by the 300zx.

Yeah me too. I've watched the show for years now and I don't think hes that good at a drag race either. From the sound of that 260, it definitely wasn't stock, so it had a better chance. I'm sure it 300zx was the twin turbo one, but I wouldn't think it could be that quick.

Aceman I believe those are a set of mags made by Shelby on your car, I have the same ones on my car. It is a bit of a pain driving with them without P/S. Chase

Brandon, I am in love with your setup, do you mind me asking how much your system cost? I'm thinking of getting a whole new system on my car. it's a mostly stock car, and I want the car to have that nice classic italian sound without the drone and isnt too loud. Chase
