Rear Spindle Pin
That's a good point. It might actually be that the process of torquing the nuts (they're not really jam nuts, just nuts) is what causes the distortion of the spindle pin at the lock-pin hole.

You like the UK's herd-thinning approach? Maybe COVID-19 is actually a government (world government) plan to reduce the burden on society of an aging population.

COVID-19
https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-death-rate-south-korea-compared-to-flu-2020-3 motorman does have a point about the media though. They tend to pick and choose their data to project a view. In this article they use the US flu rate and the South Korea COVID-19 rate. Why not use the South Korea flu rate? Who knows. Big picture wise, it's hard to imagine that the whole world and every state in the US has been suckered in to drastic measures by the media's use of percentages. Could be though. The last three years are telling.

COVID-19
This is a weird comment. Percentages are one of the most effective ways to describe large numbers. And odd that an "engineer" would ignore or not understand exponential growth, or even how any person wouldn't understand how disease spreads. It starts small and grows. It's not a constant like automobile deaths or addiction. But, that's today's world. Many "experts" sowing confusion. If society can get ahead of the growth fewer people will die. If they sit back and say it's a hoax and it will pass, more people will die by the time it's over. The math shows that.

COVID-19
The fact that it's new and undefined is the key. If you read around about past epidemics you'll find some that faded away and some that were very bad. But they can't be predicted. Ebola is the last big one, and, apparently, because we were prepared, it never took hold in the rest of the world. I think that the bigger fear is that eventually one will come along that really is very deadly. This one is a practice run, and we're failing in controlling it. It should be easy, supposedly we're the most sophisticated most powerful nation in the world.. And you're looking at after-the-fact numbers. Besides that, what do you tell the families of the 42 people that died in Washington? After scientists in Washington had identified the disease but the CDC told them to stop testing. The consistent failures make you wonder what else could go wrong. I think that's what much of the fuss is about. And if you have relatives over 65 then you worry about the overall healthcare system failing them and letting them get ill. If you just don't care about people over 65 then I guess you'll be okay with whatever happens. Take off your engineer hat and see what comes in to your head. Edit - actually just realized that you used absolute numbers instead of percentages. C'mon, you're an engineer! You know better. Do the math.

L28 full rebuild assembly
All of the NA MT's should be 3.9. But, the FSM is not always right. Just check your ratios before buying. They're stamped on the ring gear. You'll want to pull the cover anyway to look for damage. Might also be that they are including the type of axle in the part number. The 2+2 83's came with CV shafts. So, if they removed the CV's the diff will be "empty" of axles.

COVID-19
The more tests that you do, the more people you catch that aren't showing symptoms. In America and other countries the lack of testing makes the death rate look higher, because only people closer to dying are tested when they show up at the hospital. Because they're not catching as many people with the virus. The irony of trying to make the numbers loo good by testing as few people as possible is that it makes the death rate look higher. I got a 2% death rate using this data. https://www.covidus.com/coronavirus-usa/

L28 full rebuild assembly
2+2's came with the smaller R180, I believe. Don't get an R180. If you can find an 87-89 (?) 300ZX Turbo it might have the CLSD R200 that is a direct bolt-in swap.

A 3.9 will match the first gear ratio on an 81-83 5 speed. The 80 5 speed might have the .773 overdrive which makes 5th feel like it belongs right after 4th, instead of being way out there. Just complicating your decision... 3.9 x 3.062 = 11.94 3.54 x 3.321 = 11.75

Here's another. Weird how different the numbers. WHO seems to be reporting less. Edit - apparently some sites only report on the weekdays. ??? https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/685d0ace521648f8a5beeeee1b9125cd

We've been loading up AV's Hitachi thread. Thought I'd start a new thread on the Corona virus. Here's a good way to watch what's happening. The yellow dots on the lower right are the scary part. Rear Spindle Pin
This topic has come up before. If the nut falls off of the bolt the bolt can slide out and the wheel can swing away from the control arm. If the nuts fall off of the spindle pin the assembly stays together, it's just looser than it was. The lock pin locks all of the parts together. Lots of things on the car aren't needed for operation. You could safety wire the nut on the bolt, or the nuts on the spindle pin, and be about as safe, I guess.

I wonder how many tuners are going with a flat curve because they're mimicking the limitations of the mechanical distributors. Example from the internet - https://stinger-performance.proboards.com/thread/1003/megasquirt-tuning-basics-timing

Ignition Timing Mechanical Advance
You missed this one, above. I left out the word "how". Those are mistakes though. The Honda guy did his on purpose. It diminishes the impact of what he's saying, dramatically. Plus the fact that he's just talking from his own opinions, apparently. Texting it out to the world on his phone. "I saw a video, do a search and u will find,", etc. He's just saying "I saw some stuff on the internet and here's what my opinion is". It's just bench-racing. Interesting reading but at the end you have to wonder, "why should I believe this guy?". This part might be my favorite - "and if u are a tuner u would know ECT/IAT move around alot in normal driving". ECT/IAT move around alot (sic) when driving...WTF? This is tuner-knowledge? Just having fun, nothing personal.

Ignition Timing Mechanical Advance
I don't have anything to add, just have to point out really weird it is for a person to take the time and effort to write all of his complicated thoughts down. But still cut the corners on the word "you". Makes me think of a high school kid on his phone trolling a bunch of engineers. It is on a Honda forum, but sill...just weird. Just type in the y and the o. The whole word is contained in four keys across the top of the keyboard. Just one of those WTF things.

New Oil Cam Spray Tube
There are a few things that you can check and do to reduce risk (edit - for the bar not the daughters). You'll want to do a test-fit to see where you're starting. It might even be possible to mount it "floating" so it's tension-free, with the right bolts and the right gasket.
