  1. Well I got my Por 15 products ordered! I got Por 15 silver, Marine clean, metal ready, and white seam filler. I totally cant wait!!! I got enough to do my floor boards, rear hatch, and battery tray!!! The local Napa store had Por 15 but they only had a pint of black and none of the prep products so I just ordered online.
  2. Thanks Arne! I wounder if there is anyone has it in Albany?Going to have to call around.
  3. So do you just buy POR 15 on there website for is there a site or store that sells it cheaper???
  4. I like the stripe I think it gives the z an edge. Ive thought of getting some for mine after it painted.:classic:
  5. Man by what POR 15's website says you just get the area as clean and smooth as possible and then apply. Is it really as easy as they make it look?
  6. Sounds like POR is the answer then! So I can just apply the POR and then apply the special primer then the body shop should have no problem applying there own primer and paint right? Can you only apply POR to bare metal?
  7. Well these are the two areas that im working on. Is there anything I can use to get down in the little crevices. I understand that these two areas must be perfect before you lay down the body caulking to prevent the rust from coming back. I feel lucky now that I’ve seen pictures of cars with much worse rust in the rear hatch. I just hate body work!

  9. I used that stuff on my ford pickup to get it ready to sale. It worked really good but left a strange film behind. Used soap and water to get it perfect.
  10. There is a cleaner made by clorox that works really well. It has bleach in it but not much. Its Clorox green works All Purpose cleaner. That way you dont mess anything up with the bleach.
  11. Sweet Man! Welcome! This site is great. Keep us updated and post some pictures. Good Luck!:classic:
  12. So would you just use that for the motor or the walls and hood as well?
  13. Try Fabreze for the carpets. That stuff works really well.
  14. Yeah I Know. I use Lacquer thinner here at work and I know that it will destroy the paint and make it a much larger mess then it is now.
  15. Ill call you when I get off work!!! Totally pumped!
  16. All for it! Would love to have a club close by that way we dont have to drive all the way to porland.
  17. I was thinking of restoring mine but then I got my 75 parts car and it has an early steering wheel in it which is way easier to restore. I dont know what you whould do about the padding on our stock wheels?!?
  18. Its a good thing you didnt wreak the car when making your second video!
  19. That is pretty funny!
  20. Nope sure didnt. Just put the valve where the old one was.
  21. Ya I fixed mine last year. I put a new heater core in as well. I used a 76 ford bronco valve. Looks just like the one you have.
  22. Did you use a 76 ford bronco valve?
  23. Now that I have drivin the Z for a whole week there are two things that I have noticed and I have some questions about them. #1 When I turn the key to the on position all my gauges come on. My fuel gauge goes up and stops. Then when I get moving in the car it continues to raise then stops. Which is the right reading? I would think as a vacuum is created it makes the gauge raise after I start driving it. Idk??? #2 At about 50 mph the shifter on my auto trany starts to shake pretty bad. Is there something loose?
  24. Thanks guys! I know this is going to be a messy process and a long one but it will have good results!
