  1. 45 days? Cool.
  2. Troy has dealt fairly and equitably with me on several items. I have no complaints and recommend him for the needs you might have.
  3. I was the car with triples dyno'd before you. I was truly running way richer than when I had run an AFR check about a year ago. On the 31st, my AFR was 9.4 or less. A year ago, it was 13.4. Still a tad rich, but not gonzo rich. Gotta get the jets right. My instructor on track day seemed to be impressed with the car's performance, though. Or am I in denial???

And burning food doesn't compute, either.

Check out MSA or Black Dragon. I know there are others, as well.

I think you're right, Bruce, and here's why. I had driven the Z to Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday to watch a bit of the autoX action and found myself low on gas. Returning to the hotel, I ventured off the freeway into Smyrna and found a station totally by accident that sold gas without methanol. It was a bit spendier than the normal ethanol mix, but WOW, what a difference it made in how the Z ran. This stuff they're putting in our tanks is terrible! And "winter" gas isn't much, if any, better.
  7. Replacement panels are available, I think from Tapco?? Somebody help out on that. Otherwise, OldHemi might be right....

You'll need an electric. Try Nissan dealer...

    You're probably right, Stephen.

Grab a good double-handful of marbles. Count 'em. Put 'em in the tank with a good cleaning solution. Shake vigorously for three or four days. Pour out the solution and marbles. Count 'em. Use POR to seal the inside and let cure for the recommended time. You should be fine.

Be sure to pour a quart or so of oil down the camshaft to get it lubed prior to cranking. I'd pull the coil wire and crank for 15 - 20 seconds to get oil flowing in the passageways before lighting her off.
  13. It appears to be a color change, too. Note the photo of the cargo area... shows gold beneath the mat.... Hate the stripe.
  14. We'll be at the Hilton as well. Hope to meet every one of you!

    Excellent points, sir hammer.
  16. Looks like an R200 to me.
  17. Hey! What's wrong with mullets and bellbottoms?

Hi, Lloyd, and welcome. You might start by contacting zbarn.com and zsource.com. Both have a decent supply of parts you'll likely need. There are other sources, too. Also, get yourself a FSM. That will help you tremendously in seeing how stuff goes together. And use the "search" function on this site. There is an encyclopedia of info right here. For what you can't find, of course, ask.

Have you examined closely, with a magnifying glass, the condition of the block?

For only a month? No, you've about nailed it. Just make sure it's not stealable. Stick it in the garage somewhere.
  21. What with your description of how the plugs looked, I'd suspect old gas rather than a spark issue.

Nissan might have changed to taping them on. Mine are the pinned variety, as are/were the rest of the emblems.

Yes, he does. I have really been impressed with his thoroughness and quality of work.

It's held in place via two pins. Those pins are inserted into inserts that fit inside holes drilled in the hood. They are located at the 9 & 3 o'clock position on the emblem. I'd use a thin putty knife-type device and gradually pry up one side, then the other until it comes loose. Be careful, those pins are not very stout and will break easier than you think. You're also likely to need new retaining inserts unless you can salvage them when removing the emblem. Good luck.

I'd place the personal comfort item on hold until the reliability issues have been resolved.
