  1. It's a good idea, but where do you find trimmer line that's that heavy?
  2. Can you get a replacement for the plastic pushrod/cable that's in the 280Z power antenna? Mine broke right at the reel. I could possibly splice it with some brass tubing & GOOP. I'm still cleaning the insides, and if the motor works, I'll want to put a new cable into it, and an Up/Down switch at the radio. Also, how can you get the mast out of the housing, if I need to? There were two screws going through the housing & mast, and after removing those, it seems the mast is stuck or rusted in. I can get some photos. thx
  3. OK, what ever. Let's get back on with the partying...
  4. Funny! I have plenty of room under the rear deck (or what's left of it) and the spare wheel well. In fact, I was thinking of cutting some rigid foam, or squishy foam, to fit in the spare wheel well to hold the jack tools, the chocks, and maybe some other stuff. Other tools, and sparefluids in the tool bins.
  5. (Long Pause)...Oh. I get it now... I just cut up a piece of 4x4 lumber to make some chocks, and drilled a hole through it so I could tie in a loop of rope for extraction ( or carrying, use as bolos, etc.) :rambo:
  6. I had to conclude the 2+2 doors were longer because I bought some replacement window squeegees last summer, and they were too long for my 2-seater doors because they were for the 2+2 doors.
  7. Thanks Will, I think there's supposed to be a slooted tube-thing on the end to keep the ball riding on the plate, and either a ball, or a rounded piece of rod in the end, held in place with a spring. the pic would be very welcome. thx a 10^6!
  8. On my 280Z- when you move the function lever for the heater, is it supposed to 'click' into the different stops for the different modes? ( vent, heat, biLevel, recirc) I think my controls are missing some kind of spring-loaded thing. It would help to have a pick of the thing to maybe make the part- no help from the microfiche or FSM on this. thx
  9. My car didn't have any chocks, so I made some.
  10. I might be that we're talking about different courtesy light cutouts. The 2+2 door panels should be too long to fit the door.
  11. What's a 'Tire Stopper?' thx
  12. My door panels have the cutouts for that light. Where dd they run the wires? Maybe I have the connectors in there too, but hidden.
  13. not a bad price. Why didn't I try eBad in the first place? You can find maybe just about any darn thing there. I tried Googling for ANSA tips, but you get too muck junk that way. thx, mate
  14. Higuys, just back from Tampa, FL I survived Guavaween! Where can I get a 2 1/4 inch Y or splitter so I can run dual gasspacks in the rear in place of the coffee can muff? I'd put a straight tip on each. Long Dual tips are impossible to find. thx
  15. how about a Z-related picture for you...
  16. As a rule of thumb, the audio (experts) will tell you to get an amp that has more power than the speakers you will be driving. The reason is because when you turn up the power all the way (to make it loud) the sound gets distorted, from clipping or whatever, and it sounds bad. With the extra amps, you will only have to use partial power, and the sound will be much nicer, the quiet parts will not have any hissing, etc.
  17. I think those are imaginative, alordzot. Imaginative. Especially Iggy... thx
  18. He's out of shape- so petty much just a 'blob' right now. Rocks don't get much excersize!
  19. There's a decarbonizing cleaner specifically made for throttle-bodies & air flow meter like yours. Kinda like carb spray.
  20. Yeah he was in the Hot tub for a while, but I had to ask if I could post the pic, because all his ladies flew off to Fla. for the winter. BTW, it's a guy (old man) so choose your names accordingly. I'll ask him to talk about his stats (height, weight, sign, turn-ons/turn-offs, etc.)
  21. I doubt he's is big enough to chock a car- maybe it'll stop up your roller skates. Arnold Rockenegger? I got a few pics of the guy...
  22. My old a/c pump and stuff probably weighed 100 Lbs.
  23. Some FYI... According to the "Tornado company" (they make the Tornado air spinner things) they recommend: --saving 100 Lbs from your car or trunck wil increase fuel economy by up to 2%. --having stuff on the roof can decrease fuel economy by up to 5%. I don't see how (or where) you could have 100 LBs of extra stuff in your Z... thx

  25. I would probably help to know exactly what species of rock (he or it is,) besides roundish and smooth. thx
