Perfect.....Yes I love the way the strokers pull with the SU’s and their simplicity. Just didn’t know if they were lean at WOT. Thanks

Need a plug bolt
Great....I just ordered 2 bungs with the M18x1.5 plugs. One for each of the two Stroker Motors (I’ll have them welded in the Dow pipes). Curious as to how the A/F ratio is with the SU’s. Have you ever checked your Stroker with the SU’s? If so, what were your numbers?

Need a plug bolt
Right you are Jim. It’s not an early manifold, it’s a manifold from a ZX with no exhaust tubes......W48. I tried 3/8 and 1/2 inch plugs.....one too small and one too large. I just want to plug it. I’ll order an M18x1.5 plug. Thanks so much for your help.....I am always impressed with your knowledge of Z cars. Regards Guy

Need a plug bolt
Took the white 70 for some exercise. Developed an exhaust leak (loud). Found the cause....she’s missing a bolt (plug) from her early exhaust manifold. Anyone know the thread size of this item, or better jet do they have one they could spare? Thanks Guy

1972 240Z Master Vace Decal Stenciling
Sorry, missed that you wanted the decal numbered. Mike at Banzai had someone stencil my engine (brand new) serial number (in the engine bay) engine plate. Call him.....if anyone knows where to get it done it would be him.

Brake Problems (still)!
Wow.....Sorry Jerry.....just seemed like the symptoms I had with a reaction disc. Pedal hard as a rock but had to stand on the pedal with both feet to stop.
-
Brake Problems (still)!
Charles is sending him another......a lot easier to just use that one. A loose reaction disc won’t hurt anything if it just stays in the booster IMO.

I usually build my own motors, but Eiji built both of my Strokers. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Getting ready to go head to head at Dinwiddie quarter mile track again this Spring with Eiji. Gonna see how the Stroker does in the sprint.

I’ve known Eiji for a long time......he lives and breathes L Series Motors. I share his passion......as does everyone on this forum obviously!!!!!

Red77.....You made a very wise decision. You’ll get an amazing engine from Eiji and he will build it himself. He’ll check and double check every measurement and part and will send pictures throughout the process. It’ll be worth every penny you spend. Keep us updated with pics......congrats!

Brake Problems (still)!
You don’t have to disconnect the steel lines from the master cylinder to install the disc. Just take off the two nuts holding the m/c to the master vac and carefully pull it away from the master vac. Pull out the plunger/adjuster shaft. Super glue the disc to the back of the plunger/adjuster shaft and reinstall in reverse order.

Brake Problems (still)!
Sounds exactly like the symptoms of a missing reaction disc in the master vac. Did you replace the brake master cylinder when you did the front upgrade?

correct torque, clutch bolts
You are dead on with the torque numbers....17.5 to 19 ft. lbs. Avoid at all cost the urge to give it a little more uummmph! Broken bolts in the flywheel suck. 19 lbs. at the very most....and just torque once!

Stock 240Z Steel Wheel Color
Thanks Blue, I see the pic of the original wheel. Looks like a satin black (not gloss).....would that be a correct assessment?
