  1. Hi Mike....It has a flat wood base that you won’t see.....will sit on 3 “L” brackets screwed in 2x4’s in the wall and a short wire cable up top to make sure it doesn’t tip over! Hope you’ve got everything under control....can’t wait till this virus is gone so we can head over to Hungary to see our dream girl! The one in Steve’s old white Z is yours ?
  2. Finished product......Z’s are cool eh? BTW many thanks to Zup for providing the door for my project. We’ve got some really great members.....it must have been a PITA to get it to Richmond.
  3. Exactly!!! After all, it rescued Ford with the Mustang remake, Chrysler with the Challenger remake and Chevrolet with the Camaro. Make it like Ford and Chrysler did.......make it look like the Z that started it all.....seats, dash, shape etc. The public is sick of slugs that get more exotic and heavy every year. IMHO
  4. He’s almost done. I dropped the mirror off this AM. It’ll come home this afternoon. It’s just incredible! IMG_0300.MOV
  5. Yeah Site.....great plan.....”You resemble that remark!” This is how WE picked the color.....our favorite IPA! Mike.....if she’d come over to my garage and pose, I’d change the color to orange.
  6. He sent two more....can’t wait to see it trimmed out!
  7. My painter only sent me one pic.......
  8. wioorders@gmail.com You can buy a set from one of our members at this email address. He has an ad in Classic Z. They are $120.00 total, shipping free. A great quality set of floor mats.
  9. My painter just sent these after block sanding....Safari Gold tomorrow.....I hope.
  10. Finally......Our painter is committed to finish my sculpture this weekend. I’ll take him the trim tomorrow and he should be finished Saturday....fingers crossed!
  11. Just received my set of Amco knock off floor mats. I couldn’t be happier...... they are beautiful! FYI Guy
  12. Been there myself.....we used a 73 front clip on the 71 car. You definitely should have a frame guy to assist. Came out perfect!
  13. Definitely gets the most compliments of any of my Z cars.
  14. I agree with grannyknot....post here too. Looks like a challenging restoration. You are very brave on the rusty one.......my favorite color for a Z!
  15. I agree with cgsheen1......there is some adjustment in the front lower valence. Most everyone that installs wider wheels will run into this issue. Just futz with the adjustment till you get max clearance.....I think this will solve your issue.
  16. A couple other nice straight sixes.....not mine. Turn the volume up! F3D64477-31A2-4671-83D6-2068CF272EEC.MOV 37FC2E77-88E5-407B-9594-A39AC8B2BEEF.MOV 53A992B8-737B-488B-AA95-5397D7DCBF30.MOV 13E87004-14B7-4637-AB77-AC2B5C335298.MOV
  17. Wow......That’s an awesome sound tuned Z Moelk......doesn’t get any better than that! Don’t you just love the straight 6? Guy
  18. That looks incredible Site.......I saw a truck with a commercial cooker in tow on I20 passing through Columbia, S.C. It had a sign that said” You can smell our butts a mile away”.
  19. Just incredible.....maybe going to be the most impressive Nissan in the country. This will bring a new interest in the Z31!
  20. My feelings exactly Jeff. In 1970 and 71, no one noticed the stock Z’s with skinny tires and rolling around the turns. When one came by with front and rear spoilers, lowered and a tuned exhaust music, a nice set of 7 inch wheels, it turned the heads. Some like a museum piece ( not me or Brandon) and that’s ok....to each his own. When you have a Z set up right, there ain’t nothing like it.....you know what I’m talking about ( your race car included). They are meant to be drivers....easy to modify, and a blast to be driven.....thanks for the compliment....why I consider you in the same fraternity as me and Brandon!!!!!!! Guy
  21. Not sure.....I just threaded it on till snug, then threaded it back to the tranny, threaded it on there and amazingly it worked! Just get it squared up and it will eventually go on. (Scrapes on my arm to show how contorted I was). The job stands out right up there with removing rear driveshaft bolts and control arm pins in difficulty!
  22. I just did my 73 this weekend. Disconnect the transmission end so you can pull loose cable at the speedometer. Feed the cable in the firewall and then reach your hand up behind the speedometer to feel the threads. Now, pull the cable in and try to bend (coerce) the cable so it’s approaching the threads squarely. Now, push the threaded collar onto the speedometer threads and just keep spinning till the threads grab. The secret is to make sure you are square. One of those jobs that really suck on getting done on a Z.
