Starting my Wall Sculpture
Hi Mike....It has a flat wood base that you won’t see.....will sit on 3 “L” brackets screwed in 2x4’s in the wall and a short wire cable up top to make sure it doesn’t tip over! Hope you’ve got everything under control....can’t wait till this virus is gone so we can head over to Hungary to see our dream girl! The one in Steve’s old white Z is yours ?

Nissan 400z Rumors
Exactly!!! After all, it rescued Ford with the Mustang remake, Chrysler with the Challenger remake and Chevrolet with the Camaro. Make it like Ford and Chrysler did.......make it look like the Z that started it all.....seats, dash, shape etc. The public is sick of slugs that get more exotic and heavy every year. IMHO

Dilemma of the Day
My feelings exactly Jeff. In 1970 and 71, no one noticed the stock Z’s with skinny tires and rolling around the turns. When one came by with front and rear spoilers, lowered and a tuned exhaust music, a nice set of 7 inch wheels, it turned the heads. Some like a museum piece ( not me or Brandon) and that’s ok....to each his own. When you have a Z set up right, there ain’t nothing like it.....you know what I’m talking about ( your race car included). They are meant to be drivers....easy to modify, and a blast to be driven.....thanks for the compliment....why I consider you in the same fraternity as me and Brandon!!!!!!! Guy

Trouble Reattaching Speedometer Cable
IMO nope

Trouble Reattaching Speedometer Cable
Not sure.....I just threaded it on till snug, then threaded it back to the tranny, threaded it on there and amazingly it worked! Just get it squared up and it will eventually go on. (Scrapes on my arm to show how contorted I was). The job stands out right up there with removing rear driveshaft bolts and control arm pins in difficulty!

Trouble Reattaching Speedometer Cable
I just did my 73 this weekend. Disconnect the transmission end so you can pull loose cable at the speedometer. Feed the cable in the firewall and then reach your hand up behind the speedometer to feel the threads. Now, pull the cable in and try to bend (coerce) the cable so it’s approaching the threads squarely. Now, push the threaded collar onto the speedometer threads and just keep spinning till the threads grab. The secret is to make sure you are square. One of those jobs that really suck on getting done on a Z.
