Emerald Green Fairlady Z Badge !
Thyanks HS Glad you narrowed that down, I can't exactly read Japanese yet I love the 432 and happy to see it had it's own tach! I got a response from the badge seller. Heres what he had to say, "Hi, I heard there is actually a red variant Z too but that's hear-say from the same people I bought this from. I can't vouch for its authenticity personally as I bought it from a local after market import shop here in the valley and basically just going by there word. Maybe they painted or someone did along the way but it looks great on my gunmetal Z32. I'm actually really regreting getting rid of it, but I really need that new throwout bearing for my clutch (as well as a new clutch kit and flywheel) . But yeah if you change your mind and don't want the emblem that is completely fine by me as I really would like to keep it (and this would be a good excuse for me to). Thanks for the inquiry. Yes it is new. Opened but new, and only tired on the car for like 5 minutes. I forgot to mention that. :)" I also told him that the Red Z badges were repaints by owners and tend to be made with the early style solid cast metal badges (in my experience anyway) as explained to me by HLS30 and other members in this thread. Also incouraged him to sign up for our club and join, seems to be a Cool Cat ~Z~

Emerald Green Fairlady Z Badge !
HAHAAA No doubt H, Jus another one of those far flung Ideas I had, but appearently though that really did work for Lionel in order to keep the asseambly line going. But heh, you never know, those rare trains are worth lots of money today. The parts box does seem to be the current genertion design style and my Aunts 2005 Nissan Sentra SE does have similar grey metallic flake paint. Had it been an old box style I would really doubt it too as I never seen a datsun with metal flake of any kind. I remember asking if a 10,000RPM Tach was factory or after market. The first few replies were pretty sure they after market then I got a Nostaglic Hero Vol.84 April 2001 magizine in the mail with a 240ZG parts feature article inside it. Still didn't say if it was factory or not though :hurt: but I also came across a 11,000RPM tach for sale one day also. ~Z~

Emerald Green Fairlady Z Badge !
i DON'T KNOW, I seen some other '"Glitter Centers" painted the same color on Ebay this week. And the dude who sold the Emblem sounds like he seen that kind befor I'll give him a ask and see what story he tells. Now that we know they have the same part number it may be possible by chance that they ran out of paint on a certain day and had to subsitute for a different color. I know thats what they used to do to Lionel Toy Trains back in the 1920's through 1950's. When they ran out of color for a certain train car, they used a different color or a diluted version of the normal color untill new paint supplies came to the factory resulting in rare anomolous colors and shades. And at the same time the toys must have kept the same part numbers seeing as how the change was never planed.

E31 Head Gasket
Interesting Q, thinking of buying a E31 myself. I saw on this Engine Calculater that you can get 9.37 compression using a 1mm head gasket. How would you get a L24 Block up to a 10+ compression with out boring it out More compression means more Horsepower right?

Emerald Green Fairlady Z Badge !
Heh, I saw this on Ebay the other day and thought they only came in White color. I know some were repainted Red by owners but this one came from the Factory . It also looks like a Orange wheel center cap I have that I think was for a 280z or 280zx, so I'm thinking they were both made around the same time maybe cause the paint is the same. Does anyone know about these Green ones and if theres any other colors out there. Heres the Link to the Auction Description and 6 pics I included below. Green Fairlady Z Badge Emblem And More pics of the center cap if you know what it goes to. Thyanx Yahh ~Z~

Throttle body injection from RB26 onto triple carb manifold
Sound like a Good idea! I can say I've seen a Car that Said it had A RB26 Running Tripple Mukini carbs but it didn't say if it was Turbo powered or not. So I know at least it has been done once. Don't know if that helps or not but I think a Twin or Tri Turbo running Tri Carbs would be nice ~Z~
