  1. Sorry @siteunseen I really didn't do much reading on the paint side. I was focused on glass in my research and this came off as pretty decent but in the end I must have the mother of all water stains because nothing but the oxide polish even lightened them. Realized I didn't show side by side, tried to do a quick paint shop edit of two photos to show the small section i did as a test area
  2. OK, finally found something that works really well. I tried everything suggested here plus I bought this crap I would not recommend for anything other than wasting your money: what did work really well on the water spots as well as all the hazy scratches was this glass polisher https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011A8ZPL4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details its a labor of love for sure slowly working across the glass but i'm really happy how well it does on all but the deepest of scratches. My biggest issue was this really noticeable racing stripe scratch that was probably from a lost or broken window roller. You can also see the hazy water spots and those spots and this strip is completely gone after a few careful applications.
  3. I suspected as much, I didn't watch all 57 min. but I'm sure you stopping faster by the end. I haven't read a single negative comment about their performance, well, except the price.
  4. Ordered a set from my local Nissan dealer yesterday.
  5. Yes, I'm very impressed with the kit, the quality of parts, the little effort needed to install, etc. Really well balanced out of the box, the fronts locked up before the rears, as I quickly found out during break in. Although, if on a track car, I think a proportioning valve would be nice to really dial in the bias as wanted. For the street, awesome setup!
  6. Should be here Friday. Coming out of one of the dist. Whse in Tx. McMaster Car order came in yesterday. $26 with shipping. Think I pulled the trigger way to soon. I’ll post pics of both when I pick up the Nissan washers.
  7. Will be interesting to see what you receive
  8. This is my non-impressive collect ATM. But the good news is that I have a very very close replacement washer source. These are 17.6 mm OD with a 6.4mm ID. (The web site says 18mm OD, but they are lying, I mean nominal…..) They are nice and thin as well. Of course you have to create the flat spot yourself, then get them replated, but when you have to get it right, you have to get it right, right? https://belmetric.com/hv-140-steel-general-purpose-din-9021-fender-washer/?sku=WFE6X18YLW
  9. It's got more bark growl than bite. It sat from 1985 to 2020, so I've tried to keep it in original/survivor mode. Still has the 260, warmed over, with the original Autolite 2 barrel carb. Fun car to drive.
  10. That's a rowdy sounding Tiger!!
  11. Took the drivers cushion apart. Foam is pretty screwed, not sure if I can actually repair this EDIT - found a good DS cushion complete with heater pad (mine is damaged) for reasonable (in the scheme of things) pricing. This one has cracks all over the place. Since it's the outer bolster, it's gonna look like crapola if it's not perfect. I'd have bought a pass side since they are always in better shape, but the DS has a bump out between the legs wire bolster weld was torn Fixed that aspect - EDIT - looks like a stress crack below the spot weld ridge in line with the welded bar
  12. I finally got the YouTube video uploaded. It's kind of long, wanted to show everything, and I'm a lazy editor.
  13. Had a very similar problem. All i did was play with the striker latch and adjust it to accommodate the part of the door needing it. If the top of the door sitting in like this but bottom flush you have to rotate the striker latch and play with the two screws on the bottom part with the spring. Angle it just right and the door will latch flush top to bottom. I dont think you have a hinge or channel problem.
  14. Old thread, but, I bit the bullet and bought the ZCar Garage big brake kit! Reasons: My brakes were due for work, and I wanted something better. I've had to really jam on the brakes a few times in freeway traffic jams, wondering if I'm going to be able to stop in time. Wanted setup that would fit my 15" PanaSports. Wasn't in the mood to piece together various parts to get a working system. Wanted something that's engineered for the Z. Well, they do look awesome too. Looks like they've kept the Wilwood parking brake setup. I've got it installed, and the car is back on the ground. Today I need to find an isolated road somewhere where I can bed the brake pads in and "season" the rotors. I'll be posting a YouTube video of my install process once I'm done editing it.
