Hello everyone

I'm on the final touches on getting my Z back on the road after the restoration and we've run into a bit of a an issue. I'm 16's on the car since about 2011 or so and with everything replaced and rebuilt it appears the front wheels sit more forward then before, to the point where the front wheels will hit the fender when you turn them. Is there a way to move these back, is it just a matter of adjusting the tension bar, or is it far more complicated than that, photo below for reference.

Probably need a complete break down of the work you performed during the build in order to comment on the issue.

Took the entire car part, painted and replaced all parts on the front and rear suspension.

New bushings could have moved the wheel forward. As the bushings compress and shrink the suspension components move backward since braking is the dominant force.
Control arm (transverse link) and T/C rod both. You might gain a mm or two back once you start driving it.

Mystery is he was running those wheels and tires before the tear down. Did you use factory parts meaning stock/aftermarket. The TC rod is the only thing I can think of. Get it on a rack and start looking around.

But was he running old bushings? I'm suggesting that he replaced old worn bushings with new and it changed the geometry.

Especially if the new bushings are urethane. They make adjustable tension rods which would allow you to center the wheel in the arch

Keep in mind that stock control arm bushings have a definite front/rear orientation. If not installed correctly the suspension geometry will be off.
