That was me that posted that photo to show him how a cracked or broken guide could cause an oil problem on one cylinder.

Car is running a little bit better now with the MSD Blaster 2 coil maybe its masking the problem only. Still testing the car. I did noticed the mechanic adjusted the carbs as follows:

4 turns down each carb, 7 at idle screw for front carburetor and 10 at idle screw for rear carburetor. The fast idle screw when raised to 2500 rpm gave different measures on front and rear carburetors.

Mechanic finally managed to get the 6 spark plugs working. All seem burning correctly with no fouling. Car does start misfiring if i turn the air conditioning on. Id like some advice on replacing the ac fan, condenser and compensator so i can have an efficient air conditioning system that cools well and does not make the needle move to 3/4. We are getting there!

What changes did he make to get all the plugs firing evenly?

He retuned the carbs, installed a msd coil and advanced the timing. Guy is 70 years old and works on 8 cyl camaros.

I still believe there is an issue with vapor lock as i turned the ac on and the temp started getting to 3/4 of the gauge.

Thats not vapor lock. Different issue entirely

Depends how high it climbs on whether its an issue or not. Lots of things can contribute to not being able to shed heat.

It climbs 3/4 but when turning the ac on during traffic.

You need an auxiliary pusher fan or a larger radiator.

I have a champion 3 row radiator. Its like 15 years old and stock fan clutch. Which auxiliary fan can help reduce the temp when the AC is engaged? Which type and brand?
