Engine Color Do’s and Donts

As always - your car, your choices. If you plan to mod your car noticeably (flares, body kit, interior, ...etc.) then the engine color will make little difference. However, if you plan on keeping a stock appearance (you mention "value") then its best to stay consistent with the factory's version of stock.

I really like the OEM blue color the block, that with new brass freeze plugs make me happy.... that being said I personally used black, I was (am?) a poor college kid, and the $7 rattle can cant be beat.
