I already rebuild the cv axles, with the new shorter shafts from WHP and got the mustache bar from Arizona Z Car. I know it's a challenge, but one that I'm intended on taking on to make it work. I'm trying to build my Z with has much datsun oem parts to keep it with in the Nissan family. I may sound a bit nostalgic, but I can't se my self doing it with other brand car parts.

Good luck.  Take a picture of your diff from behind and post it and we'll tell you if it's an R180 or R200.

I sure will, + I will soon have a T5 for sale once I remove it if anyone is interested. 👍

You'll probably need the 71B transmission mount also, I think that the T5 mount is different.  Depends on how the PO shoehorned that T5 in.

How they did it; may be why it sits too high

resurrecting this one, when changing the pinion flange will it not mess up the pinion pre-load or if its torqued back to spec will it be ok?

The preload will need to be checked, and if not to spec, adjusted per the service manual.
