Hi I have a old pair of Minilites that I'd like to refurbish.  They're dull and corroded.  What are my options?  Pros & Cons?  Someone told me I should paint them...Really?!?!  Can't I polish?

You could bead blast them and spray a clear coat but I think wet or vapor blasting would bring them out very nicely. Wet blasting doesn't remove any detail from the lettering and leaves a soft shine whereas straight bead blasting will soften the edges of the detail.

Are real Minilights aluminum? I thought they were magnesium.
