My 1974 260z

Featured Replies

I bought this car in 1977 when I returned from being oversees in the USN.  As I was being paid hazardous duty pay I saved as much of my pay as I could and had just enough to pay cash for it.  It's been through a lot over the past 43 years.  I have just completed my 5th engine rebuild.  The first 3 were my mistake learning auto mechanics.  I had the most recent completed by a shop and the shop damaged my crank shaft pulley.  Can anyone advise as to where I might be able to find a replacement?

What kind of damage?  They can be rebuilt.

@borini63 has spare parts.  I think that @zKars does also.

Edit - Oops, I didn't see that SteveJ had already notified borini63.  Didn't read it through the orange...

I do have one from 82 280X Turbo(three rolls) if you still looking.

@Rerbset58 please post a picture of your pulley. There are several styles. I may have one

As requested.

That is one “H-e-double hockey sticks” bite out of those pulley flanges. Ouch!

Maybe just take similar sized chunks out of the other side to keep it balanced? Sand over the edges a bit so it doesn’t catch and tear the belt?

Or PM me for a replacement!
