Yes- makes for a nice heavy stand . Yes - I’ve had one semi successful run and it works pretty well. Need to dial in my technique.

Who's into ceramics?

Nice for setting the wipe pattern too, pretty much any head work.  I had to use a overhead chain hoist to get a bare block on my work table.  The one you have looks liftable by hand.  I wonder if a plasma cutter would work?  I got a friend that knows a guy...

Anything that cuts- torch , plasma cutter , partner saw would be the fastest
