Just removed the green tape from 1761 petronix ignitor module. Any issues with this or should i place the tape back?

Buy yourself a new pertronix, the directions say to leave the tape on.

A new what? Just put the tape back on! Im not spending 90 bucks on a new one if mine works.

pickups fly out because the tape was removed. new post that will be something like "im not getting spark on some cylinders, why?"

I just put the tape back. Should i also glue it with crazy glue or cement?

The part spins so whatever makes you think that it will stay on at high RPM.  

Seriously? They have to use Tape to help hold the freakin magnets in place?? Typical fine British engineering.  Just shaking my head in disbelief...

 Yeah but at least it's fine British engineered tape!

You could put red tape over the green tape. Would that be too much red tape ?

Im with Chickenman on this. Couldn't they think of anything better than tape......
