These came with the first 240 I bought and resold.  I'll never install them because I need to keep my driver's license and stay out of jail.

They are the older ones and supposedly pulled off a wrecked 240 years ago.  They have been dry of fuel for at least 5 years and would most likely need rebuilding.

Weber Bologna, made in Italy. 40 DCOE 18.  CANNON intake.

Any help with their value would be appreciated.

I'd ask $800 and see how it goes.

As a reference new.  Maybe go up to $1000 and then go down.   I sold an old set of mikuni 45mm for $500, but I always end up selling stuff to cheap.  Then again it typically sells fast.

I suspect more than $1000. I don't have time right now to look through ebay but those are the Italian made bodies (deisreable) the 18's with the manifold and the Redline filters...

Do those look new to you?  I'm not so sure.  I'll research further with my laptop but I am thinking they're no longer made in Italy.   

 

Webers are no longer made in Italy.  Have been made in Spain now for quite a number of years.

I'm looking into a carb conversion for my L28 - and looking at Weber 40's

Somewhere between $1000 and $1200. Any less and you're giving them away. Some, like the 48DCOE were the same design but used on Ferrari race cars and Maserati street cars. They can be worth a good deal more to a person trying to make one of those Original again.
