What grit was the flapper wheel? And you used a air driven die grinder or drill?

That thing is old and rounded out. It feels like a worn 150 maybe? And it's an air powered die/dye? Grinder. The dremel cut it fine but made a bunch of thin cuts. That flapper will cut half an inch if you're not careful. I was very happy with my reliefs. I may have drank 4 or 5 beers afterwords. This stuff makes me nervous!

The flapper wheel was a good idea and probably was very manageable to handle.The larger diameter of the wheel helps with making sure you don't gouge.

Well my machinist called and said the pit in bore #4 isn't repairable. 

 

Talked me into putting in a small block Chevy V8 he has. 

2nd opinion is warranted

How many miles did the engine run with that pit? Second opinion is needed especially if he is try to sell you the replacement.
