This is totally cool...I'm always taking stuff apart just to see what's inside, and your photos may have saved my Z from myself! :-)

Nice pictures. I bet that 5 speed knob is the most valuable item on that engine/tranny combo... ;)

That cutaway motor in the utube vid is none other than our own Kiwi friend Brian Schou. I met Brian and his lovely bride Sheryl a couple of years ago when we visited New Zealand. Wonderful hosts (they met us at the airport, and got the Zclub of New Zealand to turn out and throw us a bash at a winery in Auckland), and good friends. Brian is very proud of his working cutaway L24. Nice to see him get some well deserved credit.

Cheers, Mike

Haha. Thanks for the intro Mike.

Since i took this video a couple of years ago, i have sectioned one of the carbs, as well as the dizzy cap, and now the spark from the turning rotor is quite visible. She is now running happilly on two pots.

Also i have fitted a radiator, which allows it to run for long periods.

We are taking it to a show in early Feb. so i hope to get some more video.

Brian.

PS the little white guy in my avatar is my wifes hobby. Dog shows.

Looking forward to more video!

I pre-emptively subscribed to your youtube as soon as I found that video over a year ago :)
