Is this a record price for a 77?

Featured Replies

$20,104 so far. Only 7k miles but it has a new muffler?
The old muffler would be what? 36-37 years old?

I don't know how it works in the warmer parts of the world, but in Indiana back in the 70's you had to replace your exhaust system every 18 months regardless of how many miles the car was driven.

In california i replaced my 78 stock

For that price I would have to see it and drive it. Its located in Canada so it must have been keep in a pretty nice garage all its life to stay that nice.

On my 76 it still has the stock exhaust. Granted the resonator was cut out back in the day, and the car hasn't seen good road time in about...25 years and has only about 115k miles, I was able to clean off the surface rust that was on the outside and throw on some high heat paint, to at least not have it rusting as badly from both inside and out, which should give a little longer before I have to replace it, or at least long enough to get the car done where I can have it back on the road :P

Buyer beware for sure on this one. Seller has not sold anything in a long time. All of the pictures are close ups with no "full car" shots on the auction. As others have noted the exhaust is not original. Funny the seller claims 7750 miles but does not take a picture of the odometer. Its at $27K now with the same 2 bidders going at it for the last 3 days according to the bid history. For a car with so few miles you would think they would have tons of pictures of every detail. I would not be surprised to see the auction ended early. Just my .02.

The car is missing the little rubber bumpers for the inspection lids over the battery and wind shield washer reservoir. Just saying its the little things.

This car is in my back yard so to speak.

I've never seen it but something smells fishy to me. That's nutty money for this car no matter what condition it's in.

Shill bidders?

And those pictures are not taken in Burnaby! I'm really getting suspicious now.... :cheeky:
