beandip Posted May 19, 2009 Share #15 Posted May 19, 2009 Just rotate the engine until #1 is coming up on compression stroke , both valves will be closed. Insert about 6'' or so of cotton rope in the spark plug hole, leave a tag end sticking out . Continue the rotation and the piston will stop on the compressed rope . Remove what bolts you need to .
