Any Thoughts on New Tires?

Featured Replies

That's good to hear, BRE..., That is the same setup that I have and it is comforting to hear that you have no issues. Same setup even down to the Rewinds. Thanks

One other thing that will affect whether they rub or not is whether you have a stock valance or an air dam. Air dams typically have more clearance.

I have Dunlop A2 Sport 205/60/15's on 15x7 Pannasport rims. The tires and rims have been great. My car is lowered about an inch as well with no rubbing at all. I bought my tires from tire rack. Just my two cents.

I'm running 205/60-15 Kumho's on Swastika rims and I get a small rub if I'm backing up and turning to either side. If I'm careful and don't turn too much, then I have no rubbing at all. My car currently has the stock ride height, and the tire is rubbing at the back of the valence. I plan to eventually change to 16x7's, lower profile tires, and lower the car, so I don't expect future rubbing.

My input anyway.

I am running 195/65/15 and have no rubbing issues with stock ride height. Plus, the speedo is spot on with this size tire.

Nexan's 5000 are nice as well as all Falkens I have tried.

Quiet, sticky, good in water. The falkens wear faster.

I have Yokohamas on my S2000. Scary in rain and Rear's have worn in the middle. I dropped pressure from 32psi to 28psi and still centre wear.

What kind of Yokohamas do you have? I just bought 205/60/R15 Yokohama Avid Envigors (haven't put them on yet). Hopefully I have better luck.

I have the Bridgestone tires 205/55/15, but I not tested them on the track or in the rain. My car hasn't seen since app. 1989.
