What really gets up my nostrils is that he scammed US. We were SUPPOSED to be his mates and mates don't treat each other like crap.

Well guys, don't lose faith in mankind altogether. I fell onto this interesting thread out of curiosity, so I make no judgements other than to share some of the amazement and disappointment. Back many years a fellow Peace Corps volunteer looked me in the eyes and said, "Damn, if you let me screw you over, and I will, it's your own stupid fault." I don't mean that getting screwed over is necessarily one's own fault; it's just that we always have to remember that there are lots of nasty people out there who pride themselves on being able to do it. I wondered how such a personality could have made it into the Peace Corps in the first place, but he was pretty good at it. I had to consider myself lucky and heeded his warning. Still do. Have a spit (or whatever) on this guy's "grave" and walk way? Good luck to all, it's Spring around here; time to take a fresh breath and go do something fun...Have a Guinness in honor of St. Patrick, who I'm sure shakes his head at the idea anyway, but it's a great excuse to get pissed.

I have the same feelings as alternative, fell into out of interest but what I dont get is this. One, why would his supposed girlfriend turn on him all of a sudden. It just does'nt make sense.

Then, why would he all of a sudden, as if no one at all would notice, start posting again, this again does'nt make sense.

Thirdly he is supposed to be from Pennsylvania, yet from my little bit of computer skills I can determine that the ISP of both "DeltaDawn" and "Zmefly" are not from Pennsylvania.

I also see from links and such Raz1 you have been on your high horse about this whole thing.

Now I am in no way saying that what he has done is in anyway a good thing but I have yet to see, with the exception of some guy on another site, called Imabubba, where he ripped anyone off, less this one man.

I just don't get any of it and it seems to me there is more here then meets the eye.

For example, the girlfriend turning all of a sudden, his name popping up here and there, his ISP is not of Pennsylvania. Now I'm not a criminal investigation specialist, but I would think anyone that had done someone wrong, wouldn't just start to show his head again with the same name.

No one person is that stupid.

I would also like to know how you got all your information Raz1, it is interesting to know, I didn't think you could find out anyones information such as that which would have to do with criminal or under criminal investigation.

How did you happen upon all this information, or misinformation as it seems you are the only one that seems to consistently have updates?

Now this is also something else everyone here should look at, the only two constants I have found that bad mouth this person is Raz1 and Imabubba.

I say this if the man is guilty of what he is charged of then so be it let his arse go to jail and stay there for as long as the law allows. It only seems fitting.

The only proof of anything that he's done that I have seen, was posted at Zcar.com from the author Imabubba, where he says he bought something from Zmefly, and never recieved it.

Just looking at it from a third party view and I'm finding many are jumping on a bandwagon that really shows NO PROOF of anything so far.

Everything I have ever stated is fact. trust me, I have a lot more to lose then ZmeFly would by me making this up.

I did my homework with help from Imabubba.

Anyone who knows me personally on this site knows I'm not out to create something that isn't true.

You are dead wrong about the ISP. Back in the day when this came to light, it was the first thing that was confirmed.

Fact:

1) When you are stupid (and ZmeFly and DeltaDawn did) enough to email a forged copy of a death certificate to us and allow us the chance to call the state coroner of PA to varify it, that is how you find out the death was faked.

We also called the cemetary that he was supposed to be buried in. They had no record of him being there.

2) ZmeFly made the mistake of trying to rip off Gateway for a Computer. This is where a lot of the dective work was done.

3) DeltaDawn did not turn on ZmeFly until a year later. I guess falling out of love will do that for you.

4) The main reason I have been involved with this is I was rpped off by him (and yes, I take resposibility for that), but it doesn't mean I have to sit back and let him try to scam someone else.

5) I became very active in this when I realized YOU guys wanted to start a relief fund for DeltaDawn and the then deceased ZmeFly because you felt sorry for them. I called Mike and made him aware of the situation. If you think his death is still real, by all means sned them your money.

6) ZmeFly faked his death because he couldn't take the heat of having himself exposed to the people that admired him most.

7) look at his website, it say Uniontown PA. He has always lived there.

8) I can't explain why someone would be so stupid to use the same screen name as before. And he still has his 280ZXT in his sig. But then again he thought he was being really smart when he sent us the death cert.

9) FBI? no. Just someone that won't let somebody get away with ripping people off.

10) Boostedz, believe what you want. You can even make me out to be the bad guy, I really don't care as long as the truth gets out.

I have stated from what I have read from here and at Zcar.com, that, he did in fact, put up an auction for some type of GPS. That I can see is fact.

I can see that Imabubba states that he and one other individual did not receive them.

Now I see where you are coming from, trying to help out the Z crowd, but I see that you are making accusations, yet there is nothing to back them up, if you get my point.

You say he tried to rip off Gateway?? How do you know this? How did you get this information? Do you have proof of that?

You state that he forged a government document, then, why isn't there an arrest record? Can you show that?

You say that his girlfriend fell out of love with him and then turned. Can you prove that, do you have an affidavit?

Also I haven't been around long enough so I guess I wouldn't know but I haven't seen any relief fund that you have mentioned or, this thing where they were trying to sell his car and rip people off.

All I am saying is that, "you say", you have done a lot of detective work, and apparently you are a well liked person on here whos word can be trusted.

I am not into arguing the main subject, but from all that I have read, I see only a few things and those are these:

1) He did sell parts on ebay

2) Imabubba says that he never recieved them

3) He is supposedly dead, I think that is a bit drastic way to take things, for the money he allegedly took.

4) You allege that he has ripped you off.

What I see now is this

1) The person posting on the names Deltadawn and Zmefly are not of Pennsylvania, you should double check that.

2) Why would someone shame theyr'e datsun by calling it a Honda ?

3) You talk about Deltadawn like you know her, do you, have you had contact with her?

Art shared verifiable facts. His post allowed some of our members to know that questioning another member is not a bad thing. Because of members like Art, we have a forum that deals with Z related experiences(Not to mention a great magazine!).

While I agree that the buyer should beware, If my brother-in-law was going into a den of thieves(or a new statue of Rick suddenly appeared in his bedroom), but didn't recognize the danger, I would warn/educate him, If I saw any of you in the same situation, I would do the same.

Guys, let's just face the fact that we were duped by a scammer. The facts suggest that he is a petty theif. I doubt he'll get any time out of it.

Although this thread does bring in a lot of traffic to the website, I think we should take all of this to heart and move on. It doesn't make sense to beat it like a dead horse.

I do have to admit this guy was a frequent contributor to this site and posted many helpful topics and photos. It was a controvercial topic for quite some time and we lost members because of it. My stance, back in the day, was a little more strict, but, I can't stop some things from creeping up. :stupid: It's just odd how this guy switched gears and changed on all of us. It really is frustrating.

I've always had a rule that we should maintain Z-only content and you can see that our club is mostly Z content. However, I do believe this is on-topic because we need to warn others about the dangers of online activity. Just remember that most people are trustworthy, there are some who are not. And, it's easier to hide behind fake aliases, addresses, ISP's, and such.

Now, please remember that we are all human. So, only say something in a forum as if you were standing right in front of that individual.

Call the Coronor of PA. If you want I will find the phone number. Call the cemetary. They will back up what I've stated.

Yes, it happened back in 2003. When he didn't pay for the computer, Gateway put him on the "bad" list. It just so happens that the guy he ripped off for the GPS just happens to work for Gateway and was able to find this info out. I can get you his number as well.

The police consider it a low level crime and not a priority. So it could take years for them to act on it. This came from a news reporter from Uniontown that was going to do a story on this. I can probably get his number as well if you want it.

If you were hear when this all first started, you would have seen that there was talk of starting a fund.

I went into detail a year ago, no reason to say it all over again. everyoine knows what happened. This was just suppose to be a fyi, not a rehash of what was already explained.

Not allegedly, It's fact. as stated above I can dig up all of the important phone numbers and you can make the calls yourself.

has anyone else noticed the vague similarity between the user name "boostedz" and the signature that ZmeFly used on this site, and on the Got-Z website???

Now maybe some will say it isn't proper to point this out, but I find it odd that someone who wasn't around for all of the excitement (in real time) has such strong motivation to defend the slimeball in question and to call into question the motives of the people who had BALLS enough to stand up and try to warn others by presenting facts, and other information.

I saved one of the other threads about ZmeScam before it was deleted by the "thought nazi's" and it's real interesting reading almost 2 years down the road.

Rick, Sorry I was so vague. What I was meaning was that money is a very powerful motive for some people. They will do anything to acquire it, and won't care one bit who they hurt, or disappoint by way of their deceptions. They won't even care that they've ruined their own reputation, and lost any respect that they may have achieved in other area's of their life. The internet makes this sort of scamming SO easy to do, and to think that one can get away with it. (ten feet tall and bullitproof)

It should be a lesson to all of us.
