I am finding more and more electrical issues in my 75. The primary culprit is in the rat's nest of wires and connectors in the passenger side under the dash. I have found multiple wires pulled (corroded) out of connectors, so I'm looking to replace all of the connectors, any ideas where to get them. Right now I've had to jumper several wires over the connectors to get things like the Hazard and turn signals to work. Any help would be appreciated.

On the male part of the hood latch, inside the big spring, there's a round rubber bumper on my 71Z. Can you buy them? Mine is so cracked and dried up it's hard to tell what size it is. Is it really needed? any info? Thanks, TimsZ

Hi Guys, I'm new to the Zed scene having just bought my first Z. Anyway It needs the firewall grommets replaced. I've just put in an order for a motorsport catalogue but it hasn't showed up yet (it could be a while I'm is AUS). So I was wondering if somone out there could give me a price from motorsport (or some other reputable mob) for a set of firewall grommets kinda like these. Thanks in advance. OzLime240Z

The 1970 240z that I bought this spring came with a bag of 30-40 little bags full of rubber parts, bushings, hose clamps and seals, all new. Some have Nissan stamps and part numbers and others just have hand written parts numbers. Is there an online resource where I can punch in these numbers and find out what they are? I will be tearing the car down to the shell this winter so I suppose I will see everything at some point but it would be nice to know where these parts belong before I inadvertently order doubles. Thanks, Chris

This 240Z appears to be very original and a good deal for the BIN price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200787802610&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#v4-43

I have a complete dealer installed A/C system that was in my '72 240z. The former owner included a new/unused condensor, new compressor, and new dryers along with the foot-well box coil, switch, etc. Is there any market for this antiquated system or should I talk to the local scrappers to see what they'd give me for the metal? I figure if I ever want A/C in the Z I would buy a newer version from VintageAir or somewhere similar. Any thoughts?

This was awhile ago when I had my old 3.0L stroker motor. I needed to adjust the valves. Well, I used to boast how fast I could do the job and decided to show a friend. Part of how fast I could do the job was how I would use a bump starter to turn the cam over as i checked measurement, then adjusted. I had all the needed tools out on my fender (using fender cover of course), cam exposed ready set go!! I FORGOT TO TAKE THE CAR OUT OF GEAR! the starter engaged, and it scared the crap out of me. I dropped my bump steer and damn if it didnt wedge itself so that the starter didnt stop. My Z was driving up into my garage on starter power. Not the hybrid i had in…

Picked this up the other day out of curiosity. Wasn't as in-depth or earth shattering as I hoped, but still a nice read. Here's a copy for those who hadn't seen it.

My brother is a Mechanical Engineering student down at UVA, so when he bragged that he had access to CAD and a Plastic Printer, I gave him the (small) challenge of reproducing some clips for my inspection panels. Unfortunatly I didn't have access to an original, just my broken pieces. He's just got the first batch back, and I'm excited to see how it fits/works. From the photos I don't think it'll be strong enough, but he claims he's pinched it pretty darn hard without fail. Time will tell. Will report back if they actually work (though I know they don't look original).
