Ha, I'm trying to post a new thread and I think I just found an appropriate spot to do it. My primary interest is in design (Industrial and Transportation) and I've noticed here that there is a very well established feeling relative to where Nissan is going with the 1st and 2nd generation 350Z's. There may be some strong feelings about the 2+2 cars as well or even the differences between the 240, 260, 280, 300zx, etc. So, How do you feel about the most recent Z's and why do you feel that way? Or how do you feel about the Z car you drive and the rest of the Z line? In order to keep these thoughts in some kind of usable and understandable order it would be good if you cou…

I am a novice compared to many of the members on this site and have often struggled with regard to issues of when to add to an old thread versus when to start a new thread. I do spend time in the archives and I am amazed by the wealth of quality information available from past contributions - most of which are from well before my time here. I was pleased to see Enrique's post with regard to adding to an old thread Versus starting a new thread and was concerned that this valuable kick start to a possible discussion might be lost in the other recent topic discussing "reputation". ENRIQUE'S POST READS IN PART: Some would have you post a completely new thread rather than po…

Hey, check out this article I found while at the gym. Does the 2008 350z have a longer nose or is it just that angle? In my opinion, the new design looks less like the toad everyone used to call it. Oh, and the COLOR is absolutely mah-va-lous.... -- Mike

Noticed when I'm reading a post, there is this little icon that says Reputation? below everyones name? Maybe it's been there all along and I've just never seen it My question is when you click on your own, it shows how many points you have. Is more good or less?

Somebody started modification on this one, check out the rear window... sitting at 200 bucks, we'll see where it all ends up... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-Datsun-280Z_W0QQitemZ140046448510QQihZ004QQcategoryZ6187QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem There is a catch, however. It appears to be only for exporters, dealers, and dismantlers.

I needed a break from searching for my Z, so I got a hair up it and decided to go testdrive a 350 Wednesday. After owning a 280 and 85 300 turbo, and driving several 240s and a later 280ZX I figured I should get behind the wheel of this incarnation. I never got the chance to drive one of the twin turbos, and regret it. What can I say? It's one hell of a car. I've driven an E46 M3, and while the M has more power, the Z was tighter in the corners (at half the price). The shifter throws were very short, and the controls felt nice and heavy. Getting my tall self behind the wheel reminded me very much of the Z's of old, with plenty of leg room and just enough head clearance. B…

This non operative model seems priced rather high, but the parts and overall condition look good, and then of course, there's the exclusivity factor. If anyone from any of the Florida Z clubs will be strolling through the Winter Park Concours on Sunday be sure to stop by and say hello. Look for the orange 240Z, it shouldn't be too hard to spot. I attended the event last year, without my Z and it was a very nice show in downtown Winter Park on Park Ave. Z you there! Bob
