After reading multiple posts on the issue of using polyurethane bushings for the t/c rods I noticed one solution talked about is drilling holes into the bushing per this Dime Quarterly article: http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/articles/tech_tcrod.html. I'm curious to know if anyone out there has done this modification. If so, have any of you experienced problems? How does the suspension and steering feel after doing this? Is this a viable solution? I realize other "fixes" exist for the polyurethane issue. As a college student, though, I'm on a tight budget and my options are limited. Thanks, Bryan

Anyone know of a good website on installation of G/C coilovers on the 240Z? The instructions provided by G/C are a little lacking in detail.

I race my 240Z in Vintage Historic and consequently change wheel a decent amount. A good investment on previous cars has been APR lugs which are extremely strong. They don't list a lug for a 204Z. Anyone had experience replacing the lugs on their Z?

I was finally able to get out and take a drive around the neighborhood last night... very late last night when there was no traffic around. It was AWESOME, first of all, even with its problems (that I have been chipping away at, slowly but surely). One thing I noticed on a straight, flat, recently paved bit of neighborhood street was that the car seems to have what I can only describe as a waddle. Very front-endish. As if the wheels were rotating like something out of a cartoon. That, instead of tracking straight, there is a wobble. Obviously a suspension issue, but can someone give me a heads up as to what I should be looking at first to correct this? Bearings come…

I finally got the car out and drove it around after sitting around years during resto. I have some issues right off the bat with my WILDWOOD brakes. I have a front end shimmy like a warped rotor and I have a knocking noise from the rear. I have to do more investigating, but I did find the front left bearing was loose and i tightened it-yet to test drive. Could or would a loose bearing cause the same symptoms as a warped rotor? In the same line of questions-would a loose rear wheel bearing cause the same thing? I can rock the rear wheel at the 6 and 12 oclock position and get a very small amount of play. The bearings were replaced, but i question whether I got enough torqu…

I have cleaned up my steering rack on my '70 and found a nylon or plastic piece screwed into the housing. The thread were broken off in the housing. I think it is the 'grease reservoir'. Cannot find one sold by all the usual suspects. Can I just plug the hole and call it a day? Mike

I've been doing a lot of research on this site and others to decide what combination of struts and springs to get. I've never seen a post that summarizes all the options, so I thought I'd write it up. I'm not an expert on the subject, so this post will be information drawn from the posts of notable experts. I'm hoping that writing this summary will help me organize my thoughts and perhaps draw out some advice on something I'm missing. So...here goes. First off, my car is stock, although it has fully poly bushings. My intended use is street use only. I may someday take my car to the track and get some lessons, but I doubt I'd ever be serious about tracking it. My c…

Are the Energy Suspension sway bar links that I bought REALLY supplied with bolts that are too short OR do I need to compress the springs to push the sway bar down onto the new bushings to compress them enough to get the nut on? Mark

I purchased new ball joints for my 71. I finally got around to cracking the boxes open and... SURPRISE! They are 2 different styles... One is marked for the "555" brand the other has no markings. I am going to contact PartsGeek to get one of them replaced (I want the 2 to be the same).. Can someone explain the differences? They both have holes for grease fittings, one looks to be adjustable, one is a bit larger... Thoughts?

I've installed Ground Control coilovers on my 72 Z. I set up the car as low as possible for street use. My question is........With the 225-50-16 tires on 16" Panasports, we had to dial in almost negative 3 degrees camber to prevent rubbing on the rear fender lips. I don't want to roll the fenders. Is 3 degrees too much for street use or is that OK? I can go to a smaller tire (205-55-16), but really like the 225-50-16's. Thanks Guy
