  1. That is an odd first bid. Also odd that the seller is in the desert too. Hmmm.... Also also odd that the seller's chosen BaT name is harmonresto. Very similar to the old Harmony01 seller that puts stuff on eBay for inflated prices. All very strange! https://bringatrailer.com/member/deserthermit/ https://bringatrailer.com/member/harmonresto/
  2. I sent the following eBay email to harmony01: Good morning, It's great to see such a low-number VIN! Please post pictures of the VIN on the firewall, the data plate in the engine bay, a picture of the engine number on the block and the VIN on the dashboard. If you reached the capacity for pictures, please email the pictures to me. Thanks, Steve harmony01 replied to my eBay email and sent me the pictures posted below. The only picture he didn't send me was the VIN on the dash. I sent him another email, asking for a picture of the VIN on the top of the dash.

I made some comments in the past about harmony01. I seem like a d*** but they seemed appropriate at the time. https://www.classiczcars.com/search/?q=harmony01&quick=1
  4. The car is down there in harmony01's neighborhood, and, "Location is approximate". I missed the "See more" on the description. Lost title. Needs driveway space. Not clear if he ever had the title in his name. Still has Washington plates. PLEASE READ (If posted in the wrong area please delete) I AM TAKING SERIOUS OFFERS ON THE CAR Hello, I am selling this 1971 datsun 240z It has a manual transmission that shifts great Not really in a rush to get rid of it but the extra driveway space would be nice. The car ran perfectly but the carb was acting up so it was removed and it hasn’t been put back on since. Floor pans and battery tray need to be replaced, lost the title (but it is clean) a while ago, carburetor not included, tiny spots of rust here and there but overall good condition. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask, thanks

  6. It's harmony01, down there in Beverly Hills.
  7. Too funny. I posted my post and thought "wait a minute. That has harmony01 all over it". Sure enough... It won't sell. It will end as "reserve not met". Edit - actually, nobody will offer that $74,500 price, it's not an auction. +74,000? It must be the trailer hitch. Or the velour. I've never seen "GARAGE" on the ignition switch. Japanese thing? Always learning something.
  8. Harmony01 finally sent me a picture of the VIN on the top of the dash.
  9. That's Harmony01 alright, funny how he has taken the "original, never been restored!" line out of the description. On his last ebay listing of this car it was one of his main selling features.
  10. That's harmony01 from eBay.

I was looking over the ebay ad last night and noticed the "unrestored" description, so I thought I would feel the guy out, I asked him how he could call the car unrestored with the floor pans replaced, a second paint job, new seat covers and a dash cap. I also asked wasn't he afraid of litigation from an unsuspecting buyer, Here is his reply, Lol... ok I’ve only sold 100 of these cars on eBay to happy buyers all over the world with 100% feedback... but you could be right... or ... regular maintenance and upkeep on a 50 year old car which is fully described is normal and NOT what real collectors think is restoration... but yea thanks for the advice... litigation 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 ... -harmony01

This is what harmony01 was known for in the past. His cars never meet reserve. I wonder if he just uses eBay for advertising, then sells the cars through private communication.

It's the harmony01 guys again. Suspiciously close to URGELIS in Rancho Cucamonga. That is a low number though. I wonder if it's in the Registry of America. Says he prefers period look, but drives it daily with mags. ? I actually use my cars and drive them daily... I prefer a period look and feel to 100 point concours cars.

It's harmony01. Who never actually closes a sale, apparently. http://www.ebay.com/sch/harmony01/m.html?item=162128506902&viewitem=&rmvSB=true&forcerRptr=true&afsrc=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  15. The eBay guy "harmony01" has been discussed before. He seems like just a sales-type who pushes hard to sell his cars. He does have good comments in his feedback, but the problems with the paper-work make you wonder if he's not very honest or maybe incompetent. http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/50163-1969-hls30-00182-on-ebay/ http://www.ebay.com/sch/harmony01/m.html?item=161438375051&forcerrptr=true&hash=item25967a1c8b&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

Does he say this every time? - " I am a Z collector and will be offering some of my more rare and sought after cars for sale in the coming weeks... " He has a 78 280Z and a Roadster fro sale also - http://www.ebay.com/sch/harmony01/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  17. There is a ton on this site about how to value these cars. Matching numbers, rust, provenance, all of that. You've asked essentially the same question multiple times. Really looks like you're just trying to set a flip price. You haven't asked anything about how to restore them or where to get parts. Might be why the response is muted. Nothing wrong with buying and reselling, but the beating around the bush will get old. Why not just put it on eBay with a high reserve? Post lots of pictures. We'll pick it apart and when it doesn't hit your reserve number you'll have a high bid to guesstimate the price. There's a guy in Beverly Hill CA that does that over and over. Beware though, that now that "harmony01" car and all of his cars actually, is/are tainted with all of the bad press. I doubt that anyone from this site would buy it for what the guy's asking. He's had it up too many times, it's old news. Who wants to be the sucker that finally paid maximum price? Just pick a good profit for your time, add it on, and resell. Everybody wins.

If you sell a lot of cars it can probably pay to have artificial asking prices. Makes the other over-priced cars look like bargains. Harmony01 from the past -

The eBay seller has other cars for sale, including a GNose Z. If you search his phone number on Google you'll find his shop downn Califormia. It's a Google world we live in now. harmony01 | eBay Another "Collectors Dream!". Giant open cowl hood, but no giant motor. Maybe a past V8 car? Wide rear fender flairs also. Datsun Z Series 240Z G Nose | eBay
