  1. Hi all (and apologies if this post belongs somewhere else, but I've run out of alternatives) Anyway, does anyone know the precise weight of an R180 Longnose (without 1/2 shafts)? I've been given a lot of guesses, but I absolutely must have the exact weight! TIA ...
  2. trust me, that mosh pit of datsun trivia is only marginally interesting to some of us but your report is fascinating! thanks for sharing
  3. flannigan, you're right on the money. the difference is especially noticeable when you've got sidedraughts or turbo. C'est la vie!
  4. the silhouette of the license plate is not japanese issue, and the rear "skyline" is different font than oem badge
  5. i posted what i heard on the socal grapevine and apparently that info was already out of date also, i just read on hybrid z that he's keeping the car to install an rb31tt btw, alan, ratdat says "hi"
  6. my apologies for hijacking the hijack and i'm not sure if it was mentioned somewhere else on this forum, but apparently this Silver Haksuka 2dr (shell minus the rb26) is headed over to it's new owner in Oz. The previous owner or new owner may wish to confirm/deny this.
  7. let us know how things sort out (with pics please!) i just viewed an auction that claimed the c110 and 280zx swaybars were interchangeable which makes sense when you think the zx was the first "sedanified" z car
  8. oh please don't use the u.s. version (the light blue in pics) the s10 silvia was called a 200sx here in the states, and was severely uglified with by the nixon bumpers the car was powered by an l-series 4cyl. and had a live rear axle more mechanical parts shared with the a10 series but the styling definitely an evolution of the c110 coupe
  9. hmm, maybe i missed something, but did you talk about the clutch hydraulic line at all? i know that i've had to add that whenever i've converted other datsuns from auto to manual.
  10. i was unable to download whiteline's pdf catalog, but i gleaned from another thread that you've got both the front and rear swaybars for your c110?
  11. toyota 4pots are a direct bolt on to late c110 struts? what year(s)? or do you mean late model 240k as in c210 i would like to see pics of the 200sx (s13) rear brakes on your s30
  12. learning something new all the time ... :classic: what about 280zx rear brakes? probably too small for your application, but still might make an easier conversion for the budget-minded since the zx was more sedan like in it's supension than the s30
  13. Mat Big Hat replied to Alfadog's topic in 240K Skyline
the rounded ones are cusco's (my personal favorite) and the triangular ones look to be some generic tuner painted to resemble cusco's. i believe these are unique to the c110, but the c10 use the same as 510 (so i've heard)
  14. isn't the 240k rear more similar to the 510? if so, perhaps you'd be abke to use an off the shelf 510 rear disc conversion http://datsun510.com/shop4/ or these ... http://www.arizonazcar.com/510brakes.html
  15. i'm still learning and researching this topic, but it doesn't sound like your 16" should be a problem provided you do the flares. the tire height really isn't an issue since you'll be running "rubber bands" anyway. i don't think the track is wider--just that the flares allow mega negative offset. in fact, depending on the flares you use, you may find the track a little narrow
  16. that's about 112 hp :tapemouth i had a similar disappointment when i dynoed my 1200 with a14gx 76 hp (57kw) @ 5800 rpm car has since been sold ...
  17. How about just the console: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4623954877&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT I't mistakely labled as 510 (or maybe on purpose?)
  18. he, he. that's the only one i know of aside from here's sammi's modded coupe: mr. jameson i've just heard from datsun club finland that there's only about 10 roadworth c110's left in finland
  19. here's a 240k webpage in kuwait(?) perhaps: http://sgt73.s5.com/khlgc110/index.htm btw, is there a post or subforum here for 240k url's?
  20. If anybody's still interested in importing a skyline, Brian Galloway (who's been importing Bluebird 510 Coupes and putting them on eBay) charges $5k flat rate to bring any car over from Japan. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=edg-group
