  1. Might have a tan line by now, huh? :stupid:
  2. Gary, you sure push the old man thing alot. You'll get no sympathy here! I will find us a place. We had talked about BJ's but they are limited for a group, except in the bar. There is Tom's Pizza and Sports Bar on 181st north of Halsey (close to I-84). I hear its a good place, but not been there. They will reserve us an area (it is non smoking). I'd be happy to look at it tonight or tomorrow. Then there is Stark St. Pizza on 92nd & Stark (very close to I-205), groups have been meeting here for years. Fred, Glad to hear you are interested.
  3. Hey Stephen, Okay, I don't care for the bra. Just kidding, I'm sorry, but couldn't resist. :tapemouth
  4. Mike, Not really into IM. Say, your avitar looks pretty nice. How about placing a couple of bigger pics in your gallery so I can get a good look? Or you can always send them in a PM.
  5. Back to topic, kind of... I like the wheels, except all the holes for mounting. I like that he has tried something different. I think a nice euro style bumper would set off the front end. I see there are no vents any longer. I wonder if I'd have to keep a window cracked to have any air moving. Overall a very clean looking car, but then, I just love the lines of a series one car.
  6. Okay, sounds like there is some interest. How about in the vicinity of the airport. Does that sound central enough? I'll send you a PM. Would have to be Saturday for me if next week.
  7. Thanks to Enrique for making sure I saw this. Will need to be the weekend for me ususally. I'm in Gresham and perhaps I can get another that doesn't belong to this forum. He works every Saturday though.
  8. Hi Echeagaray, I cannot really say what part numbers you need for each, but my service manual that covers both Z & ZX has different torque specs. So I'd say that they must be different. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
  9. Hi Mike, Welcome on board. I have the Tokico Illuminas + Tokico springs on my wifes 240, with the polyurethane bushings. I like them so much I am going to put the same on my 240. Hope to see you around town.
  10. E, Good One! Nick, Welcome. How'd you come by your handle?
  11. JJ, You may want to post your location. You may get an offer for someone to take a looksee. Its a chance anyway.
  12. Lance, You'd be surprised how tough the floor coatings are. If you've preped the floor properly, you won't tear it loose. Lift trucks drive on these for years on end and they drag their forks all the time. They do hold up! It is all in the prep.
  13. Yea, you have to wonder. If you are in the center, it will probably stay pretty well, bit on an edge....
  14. Gary, As usual I sit here in the early morning hours and have the laptop and TV going. I looked up the 2 options I was talking about. www.ucoatit.com http://www.myclassiccar.com/MCCTV/2005Season/10006/tip10006.shtml As you can imagine, any paint down surface will only stick if you remove the oils and all of that POR15. If the water beads up, the new surface won't stick very long. These paint down products are used in machine shops everywhere and they are tough. This U-coat it looks to be able to handle jack stands and florr jacks and chemicals. www.racedeck.com (web site didn't get me a lot of info) http://www.myclassiccar.com/MCCTV/2005Season/10009/tip10009.shtml This is a snap together product made for garages. Made in SLC. Not sure how it will handle implements but I'm sure they can answer that. You can put down a yellow stripe to go with the car!. Thay can even put a Z logo into a square or the entire floor. Very Cool! Probably expensive though. And this product can be moved to your next house and added to, for your 4 car garage (I know, I'm a dreamer)
  15. Or as a wise man from Vancouver once said "Gary painted his car "Arrest Me" yellow."
  16. Gary, Remind me to talk about this on Sunday. It seems I have seen a couple of products featured on My Classic Car on the Speed Channel. One thing you may want to consider is that for most products the floor must be very dry before applying. That means July around here. Not sure of temperature concerns, but I'd think over 60 degrees as a guess. There is one prooduct that must be applied on a wet floor. That means as soon as you are done getting out any oil stains to allow any product to stick, you can start the application. Not a bad thought for a weekend project. Oh, I forgot, any 2 consecutive days can be the weekend for you. Lucky SOB! I think if you find the website for My Classic Car or Eastwood, you should find what I am referring to. B.
  17. The turn signals are a different circuit than the hazards. I was having switch problems but the hazards worked fine. Have you checked your fuses?
  18. If you want to lose the popping sound a resonator in the exhaust system will get rid of it, and about half the volume.
  19. I think the stripe was there so the weight will help hold your line on a LH turn. :stupid: Actually, being different is a good thing. If no one did anything different we would all have cars restored to stock and the original color. I say go for it.
  20. The 3 screw carbs have the ability to be heated with the cooling system as has been said. Good if you are in a cold climate. If you drive all year, you should at least consider it. I am running this way. Many people stop the water flow anyway, better in summer when fuel percolation can be an issue. The 4 screw carbs can also align the nozzle/needle from underneath, which the 3 screw cannot do. 3 screws are alittle different and I think there is a tool to help alignment. I could be wrong on that. The alignment doesn't need to be done often. But, there are many with much more experience with SUs that I.
  21. Guess I blinked and alot happened. Sorry.
  22. Well Scott, Saturday will be a red letter day. Nice to see you are so excited. I warn you though, that excitment can translate to much fun and much money. Enjoy, and I hope to see you while I'm in your area one of these days. I'll be in Oxnard on the 14th for the week. Congrats!!
  23. Instead of glowing orange/yellow, can I get mine to glow chrome?
  24. Loren, Steve at Z Therapy knows someone with a Patrol. I think he lives in Salem. You might be able to look at it to see if it will work.
