  1. Maybe my engineering backgrounds lends itself to more of a 'push your way thru and get it done ' mentality
  2. The combustion chamber is like a p90, but smaller , where as the Z 47 heads are more open. Also the head has a place for a CHT under #5
  3. Anal retentive and skilled . Your line referring to smog equipment - I have a nice complete smog bolt on if you need one . I won't be needing it for my resto mods Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  4. Hard to tell if it was milled , but sure looks clean . Great alternative to a e31 head
  5. You can stop with all of the over the top craftsmanship and attention to detail. Not sure if I want to completely redo my 71 or not even bother trying to achieve your level of work. I think I will stick to resto mods and utilize my artistic license to skirt around all that hard work and relentless perfection
  6. Wow Jamal- nice find
  7. Oh - and loving that triple airbox- it's almost as Nissan as mine- ha!
  8. Interested in value of the 'resto mod' done tastefully . My 70 might go that direction since I don't have matching engine. very nice car by the way!!
  9. Everyone blames the bad MPG on the carbs - never the right foot Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  10. People see values go up and say it's time to unload. Market gets saturated - values go down . I like seeing values going up - so I don't complain much. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  11. Is it low enough the fuel line will clear the hood latch frame? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  12. Props to Jamal - he is great to deal with! If I get money in my PayPal I might get the shifter boot( inner rubber one)
  13. So this is getting more interesting. 86mm bore and O- ringed . The cam seems basically stock . Shims are .035 so betting chambers are about 39cc . cant upload any pics right now for some reason
  14. I couldn't find any markings anywhere on either end of the cam. I'm going to clean it up and likely trade it off to Steve Bonk that does cams to see what he can do with it. The head does have the bigger valves and has been shaved a few thou for sure with shims under the towers. Need to finish taking it all apart and getting it all tanked
  15. A donor panel and I would try it with a TIG welder and lots of time
  16. Its toast for sure and it's a drilled cam so it's not stock. It was running spray bar also.
  17. Nothing broke and it came apart nicely. Some goodies hiding inside . lightened flywheel high CR Pistons , 9mm rods
  18. That regulator position worked well for me
  19. Thanks Mike Anyone else going? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  20. So the link shows up when I reply but didn't see a click link in the original post - maybe my phone
  21. https://www.midwestzheritageshow.com/ i didn't see this link in the OP
  22. I did that the other day
  23. Yep - this topic has been beat to death- so let the beatings continue! 17x8.5" +4 offset . 225 will BARELY rub if I bottom out over a bump full fuel and cargo. What rubs is the inner arch rear quarter which can only be altered with flares. Same wheels with +10 offset I bet I could get 245's not to rub, but you would have to run spacers up front ( this is with stock spring diameter , lowered 1.5") Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  24. I'd say it safe to say that this engine hasn't ran in a long while . Interesting retainers !!
