My '71 240-Z has a vinyl roof. Can't say if it's original or not, since I've only had the car for a couple of years. But, it's definitly showing some rust issues at the top of the windshield. Here's a pic:

I use my 280ZX as a daily driver. It's not as fast or sporty as my 240Z, but it's still fun to drive.
