  1. Great work Rich. That must have taken awhile to compile.(that ryhmes) It really puts everything into perspective. It's an excellent idea to make this a living document.

I guess it's about the internal components of the actual system. I first played it on my old windows system, via cable broadband, that doesn't have a graphics card and a decent, but small amount of memory, and an older celeron processor. It was running slow enough for me to get 71 seconds. I realized this and switched to my g4 mac that has a gig of memory, graphics, ect. on the same connection and was only able to hit 24.

24.8...after many tries. What a fun game.
  4. Just wanted to say thanks for the fast shipping and the excellent quality product. Now that I have installed both of your wiring harnesses I can see much more clearly. The install was very easy and I'm glad in the end that I didn't have to cut into any existing wiring. I brought my wife outside for a second opinion and did the before and after setup and we both noticed a substantial increase in not only the parking lights, but the dash lights as well. Thanks again, Jonathan
  5. This is a great opportunity to see some sweet cars at a beautiful time of year.
  6. Rick, I should do that...it would indeed be hilarious I'm sure. I knew I was aiming blindly.
  7. You should install a remote starter on her car so she can start it from inside the house. Then she could preset the defrost and her car would be toasty and defrosted by the time she jumped in. You could have the man room all winter long. Of course, I just got married and this statement might be a little naive!
  8. Those pictures are great. Thanks. I'm using an aftermarket and now I understand exactly what's going on.
  9. It is working. I'm pretty sure it's tapped into the block. Is that possible like the oil pressure guages?
  10. I agree. The conversion does wonders. Thanks
  11. I was fiddling with my ZX distributor today and noticed an electrical connection I had not seen before. I have a 240 and the car runs fine without it...I am just wondering what it is for. It is in the first picture right behind the vacuum advance thingy. The other item I'm not sure about is the yellow wire in pictures 2 and 3. The second picture is a close up and the third shows the origin next to the dizzy. The yellow wire was taped back and not in use since I purchased the car when it had the original points setup. Thanks!
  12. This is a picture of what I believe is the early casting with the skinny E and the uniform 8's. I have read conflicting information that this represents the later emmision enflicted e88.
  13. That is a great engine. I had one in a chevy van that lasted many miles.
  14. The car is good looking. Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing my Z with fourteens, but I don't think the eighteens look very good from the side. They do fill in the wells nicely from the front and rear angled view. Those seats do look incredibly comfortable! I am suprised to see how dirty the engine is...and those carbs...
  15. You are absolutely right arne. I had looked over their site before posting this, but I missed that part. It is amazing how many parts they mixed together. Thanks again!
  16. Hi, I took apart part of my carbs today to find out that I have different size jets. I also noticed that the towers(?) that hold the float pins are different heights. The smaller of the towers had the smaller jet. Is this from two different carbs? Also, when I go to set my float level should I compensate for the different heights or just set them both to 5.5mm? Obviously, when I hold them next to each other to see if they are equal, even if they are both at 5.5, they won't be. I also looked at my needles and they are N58. Does anybody else run these? On a side note, the car does run good with a lot of power and good idle.
  17. That is a great read VaGuS (SU tuning)- I had no idea there were that many options.
  18. They even played part of this video on Good Morning America this week.
  19. Thanks prox, I definitely had your setup in mind when I was thinking about all of this at the beginning. Have you come around to liking the twin pipes more than you did before?
  20. I know...is that a bald head...or a pregnant mamasita...
  21. Look down at the pictures for this 1972 240 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2F4583952360_W0QQfromZR40QQfviZ1&rd=1&item=4583952360
  22. His handle is Zs-ondabrain. I ordered my harness from him and installed it about three weeks ago. He supplied instructions that made the installation a little less than half an hour. I am using sylvania silverstars with mine and notice a substantial difference. I also am curious if anyone is using the units on the front of victoria british. Also, there is a set of ecodes from a seller on Zcar for $49.99 in the classifieds. I had read this guys handle here and there and wonder if that might be a good deal too?
  23. Amen Brother!!
