  1. It almost looks too original to be true. A nice looking car, but not worth $19K in todays market for comparable cars.
  2. Has anyone tried this? It sounds like a great way to clean the thing out. Any info would be appreciated.
  3. Here's another one. About 1.5 hrs west of Tokyo on the Chuo. http://www.eagle-yokota.co.jp/
  4. Well, I emailed the guy the information and tld him I preferred the 14's. I probably won't be too picky depending on what he's able to find. I'll update this thread when I hear something.
  5. Ease up HS30-H, I have a life beyond my computer and have usually responded after posting. I appreciate anyone who responds and make that known up front. I could've said nothing.
  6. Going to try to pick one up but need a picture of a Z with a hexagonal grill versus the horizontal bar piece to show the parts guy. Thanks in advance.
  7. If I live where it rains a lot, is there any benefit to drilling drain holes in the body to prevent rust? Has anyone done this before? Where are the best places to drill and how big should the holes be? The reason I ask is because I popped the plastic panel off by the rear speaker and looked down into the left rear body panel and it looked like water had collected there but hadn't drained out. I don't know if it got there from the vents, or where, but I wanted to stop the rust before it got too out of control and prevent it from happening again.
  8. Yeah. I'm kind of bummed as I hate to leave, but I get re-united with my Z. I'll be moving to middle Georgia, Robins AFB. ben, If I tell a Japanese guys those sizes (I assume they're inches), is it something he'll understand or do I need to do metric mental gymnastics? Thanks, Pete
  9. Ben, I appreciate your time and effort in filling me in on what to look for. I'll update this if and when I find a set. Pete
  10. I'm living in Japan until next June and I want to get a set of Watanabe's to take back with me. What size/dimensions should I look for? My Z has Koni's and street springs so it's lowered about an inch or so from stock.
  11. Me either on the dates. I'll have to beat feet down there and hopefully they're still doing it.
  12. Scampy Wobblebottom. Must have know my rear end is out of alignment/chi.
  13. My Z was Ziebarted when I bought it. Don't know how old it is or who would even have done it. (Dealer at sale or Mom and Pop garage later on) I've heard the Ziebart is not as good at protecting the body from rust as you might be led to believe. Any experience/ideas on what to look/look out for? Thanks in advance.
  14. If you get into Tokyo for any period of time email me at gogriz91@mail.com and we'll do dinner or something. There's a place nearby with about 3 early model Z's on t but that's the closest I've gotten to seeing anything that really wowed me.
  15. Any ideas on what to replace old headlights with? Can't see very far and want to upgrade but I'm concerned about the wiring/power pull etc.
  16. Has a location been chosen yet?
  17. I call it the Beast when it runs and a drain on my finances when it doesn't. I'm not sure what my wife will call it since I've had my Z longert than I've been married.
  18. All of this I am trying to find out. I may break down and go to a Nissan dealership here with a magazine that has pictures of the place and see if they can't help me.
  19. I live in metro Tokyo and am assuming it's here. Can anyone give me some leads as to how to get there and whether or not it's open to the public?
  20. That's a far better education than I got. Sydney would be a great place to get it too.
  21. I'm in the AF going on 13 years now currently stationed at Yokota AB ouside of Tokyo. I'm the Commander of a small liaison flight to the Japanese Air Self Defense Force where we work in the Japanese equivalent of NORAD's Cheyenne mountain deconflicting US flying activity with Japanese air sovereignty concerns. Before that I was a back ender (so to speak) on JSTARS and AWACS. I'll probably go back to JSTARS next summer to make my wife happy (family) and be reunited with my Z (me happy) which I foolishly put in storage instead of bringing with me. Ironically enough there's a Japanese place right outside the base gate that has three hot HS30's on average for sale. (I'll get some pictures posted one of these days)
  22. Any such thing or any experiences with an aftermarket ABS set up for an early Z?
  23. how 'bout lvmy240Z
  24. 2 many Z's, how long have you been in N. Va.? I went to GMU for a year and was a member of the N Va Z car club when Charlie Seal was the President back in '89-90. had a great trip to Summit Point one day, took the Z's for a lap of the track between Vintage Historic races.
