Ginze Nissan 50 Year Anniv. Exhibit

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I was at the local Borders Books today, and I was thumbing through the "Classic Cars" magazine and there was a little clip about the exhibit. It is for the 50 years of Nissan design and there is supposedly some great Nissan's on display at Nissan headquarters in Ginza, Japan. The article stated that some Skyline GT-R's, 240z's, roadsters, and some early prototypes (I forgot the one that it specified, but it was not an S30 prototype.) would be on display. I know nothing more, but I am very curious to see photos of the cars, or any info about it. Keep yours eyes pealed on the web.

That thread didn't last long unfortunately - interesting that they actually have a celebratory exhibit at Ginza!! Wouldn't that just be the best?? I would love to see that 126X if they still have it. I think it's really cool. Could just be my imagination, but I see certain C110 cues on it.. Would love to see pics too Ben.

Me either on the dates. I'll have to beat feet down there and hopefully they're still doing it.

Drunkenmaster,

Here's a link to a thread that might help you find the two Nissan sites in Ginza:

There are probably no exact 'dates' for what's on; they usually have a kind of rolling rotation of exhibits for any particular 'event' that takes place - even to the extent of moving cars and exhibits around each day. If the weather is nice, you'll even see cars outside on the courtyard along with the new demonstration models.

Thanks a lot guys. I apologize for posting a thread that was already posted. James and Pete, I hope you guys get to go and see these cars.

Hey don't apologise, without it these guys lucky enough to be in Japan might not see it! And that's good for us too, cos hopefully they take pictures :) (hint hint!)

"The year 1979 saw the first design studio to open outside of Japan in San Diego, California, producing concept vehicles and the 1986 Terrano"
