Who's been MIA?
I remember the old IZCC mailing list! I found it and joined it in '93 shortly after I bought my car. I think I still have some printed copies of discussions buried in a box in one of our closets! Heck, my current 32 yr old email address (kens240Z) was created just to get into that mailing list. What a connected world we thought we were back then! Wonder if there are any plans for updating the old IZCC registry?

Who's been MIA?
My fever started when I was 4 yrs old in 1976 with the '72 240Z that my Dad had (it was a rebuild project at the time). I've loved these cars ever since. My '71 240Z will always be "My" car, but in truth I've owned (4) 240's and one 280. Two of the 240's were Series I cars (70 & 71)!

Who's been MIA?
Poppin' back in for a bit, although @conedodger and @Yarb see me quite a bit in The Rusted Zed Pub section. 😎 🍻 It's been a few years since I've spoken with Gary Moisant but I'm pretty sure he's still around up in Oregon. Can't get him away from the race cars! The last time I spoke with Keith @2ManyZs (many, many years ago) he was having some health issues. I reached out once by email a few years ago but never heard back. Edit: I reached out again to Keith yesterday and he is still around, still has his Z but it is still unfinished. So, I popped back in here because I ran across something the other day that made me think of this thread. I saw my old Z for sale on Marketplace!!! She's about an hour's drive away and actually less than a mile from my mother-in-law's place! Paint still looks good (which I'm pretty proud of!) but that four-letter "R" word has started coming back with a vengeance! The guy who is currently selling, bought her not too long ago from the guy I sold her to. I stopped by yesterday on my way home from Austin, TX to see her, talk to her, and wish her well in the next part of her life. Still has good bones, but the level of repair is far more than I'm willing to tackle at this age and stage of my life. It was cool to see her again and I can't say I didn't shed a tear or two... We did go down the roadster route for a few years but not anything from Datsun. We did the Miata thing. Cool, fun little car that was a blast to drive. Helped that it was already set up for autocross which made street driving an absolute blast! Top down every single drive, even if we got caught in the rain (as long as you stay moving...)! But alas, as the wife and I both start looking toward retirement all of the toys have been traded up for a large center console boat for fishing down on the TX Coast! Grandkids are on the way and life's focus has just changed. The Z will always be a part of my life and I will die loving the sleek lines of the S30s, but I don't think there will ever be another one in our garage. Add it to the list of cars that "We should have never sold!" 😉 Y'all keep the rubber down and the RPMs up!

240Z Z Registries (Where To Find) And Post Your Vin As Title
Just posting as a curiosity... Looking to try and find out whatever happened to my old '71 Z. She was sold to a fellow club member (Newt Zane of ZSport of San Antonio) back in 2008: VIN #18684. He used to stop by the house every once in awhile to allow me some "visitation'! I've since lost track of him and was just wondering where she might have ended up at. She and I spent 15 years together, 8 of those years being a very long & slow restoration process. It's like losing contact with one of your kids and you just want to make sure that they're alright.

71 series 2 console
Back in the day when I restored my Series 1 (I agree with others here, you have a S1 console), I used SEM Black in Satin finish for the respray on my console and other interior bits. The finish was near spot-on. The SEM product line for plastic has an Activator that is sprayed on before the color. It ended up very durable. I've heard good things about the DupliColor line for plastic paint, but I've never used it. I have used the SEM product line on multiple vehicles and multiple colors. Top of the line product in my book.

I have a vague recollection of that also! But, alas, it's been a lot of years since those early days... Speaking of "Classic Z Car" panties... Did we ever get a photo put up in the Boobs thread with a pair of those displayed? ?

Classic Z Car apparel
So, I kind of spent the day here at work not really working, and going thru some of my old posts, new posts, just general browsing around. Ran across this old post from the 2002 ZCON that was here in SA, TX. This pics was taken when I was getting Mr. K to sign a couple of the Classic Z Car hats! Pretty cool! Mr. K was one cool Kat!

Who's been MIA?
Ha! On nice, sunny TX days like today, I really do miss driving my Z! I miss the racing also, but not as much. And yes, my daughter "did" want me to build her a Z (a purple one?), but here lately, she really wants my old '93 Explorer that has become the hunting truck. Can't figure out why?

I'm also still taking great care of my "240Z" t-shirt I got almost 20 years ago. It's not from this site, but it has the older, Series-1 emblem logos (the side ones that actually said "240-Z") on the front and back.

Who's been MIA?
Hey Marty! I've been good. Working a lot. Got tired of my stint in the oil fields...I'm too old to work that hard! Went back into construction. Helping to build high-rises... Also, spending a lot of time relaxing with a cold one... And still spending quality time with my daughter at the deer lease.... Or we're out on the boat. Medina Lake I also have a side gig from time to time with the HS Band that my daughter was in. I'm the official "Roadie Driver!" Yeah...that's me making all the noise! CDL driver

Who's been MIA?
I'll pop this thread up a bit... "beandip" (Gary) is still playing with Z's. He sent me a couple pics last year of the race car he is helping with in the pits. It belongs to a friend of his, and judging by the side of their trailer, it looks like it competes really well! That's beandip in the blue hat...

Hey, Mike... Do you remember theses? From way back in the day? I still have mine! Might not have the old Z, but still supporting the colors! http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb356/kmack72/240Z/IMG_22011_zpswwsymbcw.jpg http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb356/kmack72/240Z/IMG_22001_zps8ju1rtkr.jpg These were the early ones that still had the old website on them (240Z.org). If I remember right, this was...what, 17-18 years ago? kmack
