  1. i believe that the design of the individual tools changed over the years, but each year model did come with a jack and operating handle, wheel/tire chocks, and a lug wrench.

responsible, as in financially? NO WAY! About the only thing that could happen would be a DQ, or time penality (or some other sanction) if "fault" or "gross negligence" were to be determined by race stewards. IMO this comes under the heading of "$hit Happens" or as the NAPCAR drivers say "one of them rac'in deals". The driver who ran into the grass was trying to get out of the way of the leader cars passing him and ended up on a wet (damp) grass surface and kept his foot in it in hopes of maintaining some measure of directional control. Infortunately, he couldn't.

  6. wrecked 'em? hell it killed 'em
  7. I'd wager that IF he did say why he bad-mouthed "someone" (anyone) that another someone (not necessarily sblake01 as I'm not singling out anyone) would have criticized him for doing THAT. I've seen it here before. People try to warn others about something, and they get put down. I've seen people post here that "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything". Then you have the people who criticize someone for posting their opinion, but will post a long winded rebuttal espousing their opinion which seems to be acceptable in their eyes. Guess they'd rather find out the hard way when there is a rip-off going on, or maybe they are interested only in positive experiences and want to find those negitive experience on their own. *** I'm not talking about TIR specificlally, just commenting in general.
  8. the "sell" price is what I am charged when I buy from them. can't see why that would be different if you are in a different country. They ARE going to charge more for shipping, but that's to be expected since you are further away from Kansas
  9. Why pout? we're just trying to be accurate. sorry if that offends you.

  12. Actually, my 1973 F.S.M. states (on Page GI 2) that the refill capacity including oil for a filter replacement is 5.1 qts (US Measure). so he'd be 1 1/10 qt low..........but 1 qt. is close enough.
  13. add 4 qts to a Z and you'll be a qt low.
  14. i just did
  15. Oh, Bill....................................................... Did you get the Xmas present I emailed to you?????????????

If that's the one they are talking about, I have a .WMV of it somewhere but can't find it right now. I'll search more later.
  20. One piece of info is inaccurate. I'll let you guys figure out which one.:devious:
  21. your profile doesn't say where you, or the car are located, but if you and the car are US models, your statement about "even wooden door locks" confirms that the car IS NOT "all original". Now some may say that this doesn't matter, but I'd be surprised if these items are the only items on the car that are not "all original". The "locks" ( the actual lock cylinders that you put your key into) are made of metal like any other car. So I'm thinking that you are referring to the stock OEM Datsun supplied "door lock pulls" (the things you grab to unlock the door, or push down to lock the doors from inside) which were made of black plastic on ALL US model 240Zs. If the car you are looking at has wooden ones, at some point someone went shopping at the local Megalo-Mart for some "pimp-daddy" accessories. Hopefully you can find someone local who really knows 240Z cars to inspect this one very thoroughly for you, otherwise you're likely to be throwing $8K at a car that isn't what it's being represented to be.
  22. I thought assteroids were those nuggets next to the hemmoroids. Did you steal (borrow) that list from Steven Wright?
  23. actually, the OEM bump stops were affixed to the underside of the "hat" or "upper spring perch" so that they isolate the top of the strut tube from the spring perch when the strut cartridge is at full compression. They disintegrate over time.
  24. didn't say I can find them, but that's what the threads are.
