  1. I think Michael raises a very important point in that if we have a "Other Datsun" forum then we might end up with a whole load of 120Y owners asking why their ash tray doesnt open properly. If Mike ends up thinking another section is appropriate it might be best if it were entitled "S30 Sister Cars" or something - but it depends if Mike wants this area to expand...
  2. Geez Carl, give us a break! It's coming already eesh Talk about anticlimatic...
  3. I was actually subtley hinting at your sheep/cow dilemma you seemed to have this morning, but thats ok! I don't see the point in hunting unless you're going to eat it!
  4. Sean I hear the hunting season for waterfoul and surface ducks is almost over??? They bring a new meaning to the phrase "playing hard-to-get".
  5. Yes, please, Lachlina! (picture coming ASAP as I'd hate for a RUMOUR to start!!! )
  6. Stephen, those words are from Madonna's famous song "What it feels like"... or something... not that I'd know, cos I dont listen to her. Not at all.:cheeky:
  7. Erm, you havent given up hope yet I hope Victor! It better turn up. It never ceases to amaze me the bloody gall of some people. I mean, if you're gunna steal something, steal a new car - they're replaceable. I'm still hoping it will turn up, Lachlan
  8. Yea, black in hte centre like you posted would look great, although Stephen's all-polished look also looks AMAZING. Very nice wheels

    awwwwwww thanks :classic:
  10. Put them on! Put them on! or are you just trying to compensate for something Alan?
  11. Wouldn't you like to know, how it feels like, for a girl? (does anyone get that???) It's true, this thread is a bloody beauty! You guys are all such characters
  12. Stephen, I think all Chris was saying was that a lot of people discarded this car as just a backyard mockup by a lonely 120Y owner who really wanted a Z! I think he was just saying that just because you havent seen it, doesn't mean it doesnt exist. 'Tis all! Would have loved to be back in the day where Datsun brung out some real rippers!
  13. This was on Ebay almost a year ago, started at $100 with no bids. James, I won't bid on it so it's all yours if the others don't find out!! Shhh! Thanks for the headsup Nick!
  14. Oh, I understood that when you said original flare moulds these moulds were made from original GT-R flares, not actually moulds bought from "Nissan", or whomever owned them. I find it hard to believe someone would go to Japan, buy moulds (for a mint) for flares for a car which was never sold in Australia, and then be disappointed to return and find out no one wants them??? Sounds strange, but then stranger things have happened. I'll tell you what though, if I had those moulds I'd be negotiating with buyers in Japan........
  15. I purchased mine from a bloke who crashed his Z at Targa Tasmania the other year :dead: :dead: great bloke and easy to do business with. Keep an eye out and put a Wanted ad in Ozdat.com
  16. Just received email from Eddie (the webmaster at ratdat.com) concerning the Datsun 140Z/160Z. Thought some of you might appreciate it!
  17. James, My 240's pedal was perfect - very easy to feather. I'm afraid with the K that if I get a manual I won't be able to get off the line well enough because of hte pedal, it's so unfriendly. The pedals on the 240Z and 240K are hooked up completely different though as you would know, so this would probably have something to do with it!
  18. No, I haven't. I was just looking at your pictures on your website actually... do you suggest I should do this myself or get a professional to do it? Keeping in mind I've never done anything like this before. Also, are there any tricks to cutting hte rear arches?
  19. "Septicemia is not common but is devastating and early recognition may prevent progression to shock" They need to go to the doctor immediately!
  20. I bought mine for $120 with manifold and crappy air filters, but it costed another two hundred to get them all tuned and running nicely with new filters.
  21. I'm still looking for a parts car, Hayden, for the gearbox. As for an engine, that will wait! And Ed, yes, you have to cut for the flares!
  22. James, Do you find that your pedal is a bit sloppy for the first inch, and then fairly sticky? My pedal is like that since the carb swap, I was wondering if you knew how to make it smoother to operate?
  23. Ben, 7.5" will be on the front. I've trial fitted these and know at least THEY fit... I didn't know about the lugnut issue, I was buying these nuts just because I think it'd be cool to have Watanabe nuts too When I receive them I'll have a look to see if they're any different. as for the 9's, well from a bit of looking around I've bought these because they *look* right, and they were fitted to a KPGC10 previously. I expect they will fit... if not, I'll cry. Don't jinx me!
  24. Hi! I got them imported from Japan, actually. Probably costed a fair bit more than the ones from Melbourne, but they would be at least as good quality. I tried buying the ones from Melbourne earlier but no one seemed to know where the moulds were!!! Good luck with your negotiations
