  3. V12? I have only heard that they toyed (briefly) with the idea of the V8 from the Nissan President in the S30...
  4. Alan, inspiration from James Bond I think!! The Clipper is a funny old thing. I bet it has a cult-following in Japan, too! Thanks for hte info Gareth, I've PMed you!
  5. Awww, this is sad news. What is this NEW car that's so good eh?? EH??? If someone outside of this site buys it, can you please mention the site to them? That'd be great. Also, you have a PM.
  6. Ben, I didn't think you were mocking my words at all! The only words of mine in this thread were two very small, smart-arse comments! The point Alan is trying to make was Domestic market came FIRST for Nissan when designing it. That's why when some features had to be compromised (such as the handbrake position), the RHD position was the one they chose. That's all! No one is trying to say any car is BETTER than any other...... just trying to make a point because SOME people in the past have said that the Z is undeniably an American car, designed in Japan. That kind of ignorance is all anyone is battling!! I agree with all you said Ben :classic:
  7. Sorry, I forgot to put the :ermm: at the end!!! I've got no idea!
  8. Yes please Gareth!! What game is that?? And yea, Cerb's site is pretty good for cars! He makes the best handling profiles... check out http://azz.gouranga.com for some more (and a good, albeit old help file) and also you'll need programs by Delfi, which you can get at http://www.infofeast.com/delfi/DNKDev/
  9. And remember, we got the 5-Speed!!
  10. But it was Formerly owned by Sir Sidney Phillips He says 37,000 km's on the clock, and then says last service at April 2004 has 22,703km. A bit odd... If anyone wants me to check it out for them..........
  11. ROFL Can't say I did Alan, just a whole heap of Skyline stickers and a couple of "We are hover fan!" ones from a hover craft club of Japan The one with "Japan is small - why be in such a hurry?" also has NISSAN CLIPPER written on it, and a King Kong on top of (what I thought was) the Eiffel Tower. If it's about fuel saving, perhaps it's King Kong on an oil rig. That makes (marginally) more sense! Thankyou so much for the translations!!!
  12. You're right. It's from GTA: Vice City, and is a user-made addon for the game. Finally I've got around to putting it in for myself.. Love it
  13. hehe, had to revive this old topic for a picture!!

  15. Awesome!! Thanks Alan, that's great. What a great sticker! I have a couple more.......... if you have the time I'd appreciate if you or someone else could translate these too. If you're busy dont worry about it though! Thanks again for the translation! (no I wont be sticking THAT one on the car!:cheeky:)
  16. Oh, dont mind that thing behind it. I just needed to use something to prop it up. It wasn't intentional at all :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:
  17. Hello! I just had some stuff arrive from Japan today (:classic: :classic: :classic:) and one of the stickers has a lot of Japanese text on it. I can't read Japanese, but I'd like to know what it says!! Could anyone help translate this for me please?

  20. I think ALL dads are a bit eccentric after a few years with children - nice hat though!! Thankyou kats for your input too!! You must be so worried about your car with the overseas transportation! I am sure it will come home safely though. Using just inflation rates from 1979 to date, $31,800 US in 1979 would be about $90,000 US in todays money! That was for two engines, yes? So $45,000 each!!! That's still a VERY large sum of money for an engine!!! And now he is planning on TWIN TURBOS? Let's hope he does not go too fast and destroy the engine!! It must be true love for Mr. Akamatsu..
  21. Oh! ok.. I thought it may have been a little more sophisticated - that's what I'm used to from you Carl!
  22. Do you mean could have got away with murder???? I hope so!!! My advice (coming from a 19 year old!): dont be TOO strict. The ones who are overprotected and overpunished are the ones who end up depressed and into drugs and all that nasty stuff. Of course, I'm not denying UNDERprotection and no punishment is better. But there's a happy medium. In other words, live like Aristotle! But no one ever said parenting was easy :classic:
