  1. If you're selling the L28ET, I might be interested. About the post, I'm in agreement with those above me.
  2. My paint color! My 1972 240z has a STUPENDOUS spray-can yellow paint job, and it just has to go. I'll be replacing the floorpans, having a new lower rear panel put on, and replacing the rear bumper...so hell, why not add a coat of nice, shiny paint. Cast your votes!!!

Well...one thing to say. Just used a little P2P for sampling...and why haven't I listened to some of these bands before now? Pink Floyd...wow. Going to Best Buy tomorrow with a wad of cash, leaving with a wad of smiles.
  4. EScanlon is AWESOME. Just thought I'd add that.
  5. Owned!!!! :devious:
  6. I'll speak for a good percentage of the board, when I say... I'll take whichever one makes my car get out of the garage and onto the street!

Now, I know what a harmonic balancer is...but does no one else think of a circus act involving bluegrass when they read it? As for your question...you can do whatever you want, I'm just not sure it'll work right

However, That thrilling Z can get you the eyes of some sexy girls. =D
  9. Agreed with all the above...hope everything goes smoothly and well, and she emerges healthy.
  10. Drifting is intended to be high-speed cornering for RWD cars, and is best done with a good F/R weight ratio. It's MOSTLY used for show, but in some cases/turns it really does aid in the 'race'. By drifting, a driver can exit the turn with the car pointed the right way and still having lots of momentum to carry the car forward. Basically, it's a controlled shifting of the weight in the car to 'swing' the car through a turn and have it be properly situated at the end. I guess.
  11. Collect insurance or lawsuit, and UPGRADE!!!! Turn a negative into a positive, it's the best thing to do. Sucks that it happened, but hey...my wreck last summer was the spark in a string of events that led me to my Z. As time progresses, i find myself almost thankful that I smashed a Honda (after seeing what people do to them, ).
  12. Obviously the car doesn't NEED headlights. With a hood scoop that huge, the car goes faster than the speed of light. With some Powered by Honda seatbelt pads, it would go at least two times the speed of light. I bet that catfish-inspired front lip adds TONS of downforce for that high-speed cornering around Saturn. *laughs self to death*

You know what I'd be if I relived the 70's? I'd STILL be years away from being a thought...in fact, I'd probably be a nightmare :devious:
  14. My question is: how many calipers, and will the 4 piston caliper work on a setup like this? Rear brake conversion kit I want to upgrade both front & rear brakes to disc with nice calipers and great pads, and SS lines all around. Best thing about going fast is knowing you can stop quicker than the rest of 'em =D
  15. So what are the parts you have for sale, or is it inquiry only?

Classic Datsun offers some interior plastics replacements. I don't own any, but some of the members here might. Check them out.

I might want to buy the AC setup off you =D
  18. That dyno slip...that "Baseline 240z" didn't mean STOCK except that motor, did it???
  19. So I need to acquire both a new full exhaust, and a new set of headers, as both of mine have little holes in them right below the floorboards...smelly. I have a 5/72 240z with the original engine, and my question is as follows. Is there any setup I can use on both my L24 and then transfer to an L28ET when I swap? I'm trying to get everything working fine and smooth/stylish on the car as it is now before I swap in the 5spd and L28ET. On that note, I'm trying to avoid custom work, too...$$$!

We (being the Western world) are ALL going to go through this. It's terrible, and all caused by misunderstandings and lack of communication, by globalization and westernization...ack.

Heeheeheee....I started a popular thread. Go me! On that note, I'm loving the suggestions, keep 'em coming...going to be buying quite a few albums/cds/collections and putting them on a few CDs of mp3's so I can always jam accordingly in my 240z. I love my car!!!
  22. Might be interested in either the Corbeau and/or the original...could I have some pics of the Corbeau?
  23. My problem, unfortunately, appears to have been entirely caused by a PO, or I would have a nice write-up with pictures, too. So much slicing and dicing behind my dash that I can only guess at what made him/her do it...the important thing is that it works =D
  24. Last night, after working from 7:30am till 1:30am, an idea came to me right as I fell asleep. I woke up, showered, and went down to the garage...touched two wires together, and voila. I have a functional blower. Many thanks to Enrique and others for ALL the help (it's been a long, voltmeter-filled journey), and I'm ecstatic...now the real fun begins! Now that the cars lights and signals and such work, it's time to take it into work and change gaskets and boots, seals, bushings, pads, etc. Then off to the body shop for a new rear panel and paint...then into my hands for a daily driver! I'm SO excited. Oh man!!!!! I love this car, and I LOVE this board. =D
  25. Will take a look at the wiring tomorrow morning, but if memory serves me correctly, that power lead and ground wire are simply not there on my car. That might explain why the blower isn't getting power =D
